Eastmoreland Golf Course
About
Eastmoreland Golf Course was laid out in 1917 by National Amateur Champion, H. Chandlar Egan. Today, Eastmoreland is ranked by Golf Digest among the top public courses in the country. Eastmoreland is as beautiful as it is challenging, bordered in part by Portland’s Rhododendron Gardens and Crystal Springs Lake. The environment provides a home for thousands of birds including great blue herons, mallards, wood ducks and more. The tree-lined fairways are beautiful year round and the natural hazards such as ravines, streams and lakes require the best from any golfer.

Good shape
I play here fairly frequently and it's starting to get into full summer form. Greens were still just a TOUCH sandy from being plugged a few weeks ago but in fantastic shape and firm.. by next week after a little rain they should be perfect. Fairways were firm with plenty of bounce and roll. Rough is cut nice and lush. Only complaint would be the handful of big piles of branches and debris still on the course from the harsh winter. But being a City of Portland course I can't really put the full blame on the course itself. They're mostly out of the way from play, just an eye sore (though not as big of an eye sore as the homeless camp developing just off the 14th tee box...)
A little mushy
A little soggy in a few areas and many limbs and debris still hasn’t been fully cleared.
Homeless folks camping out on tea boxes?
The course was alright but this was the first time I’ve ever Tee’d off next to people sleeping next to the tee box....
Thursday in March golf
The course is coming into shape from a tough winter. There are still some very wet spots and there is no roll out. Greens are in fine shape but I suspect sanding is coming soon so check it out before you go.
Wet course!
Just not a good winter course. Very soggy. Lots of mud and goose poop. Tough course when its this wet. Greens are in good shape. We "moved" over to the back to start as the front looked very slow... it was a good move. When we made the turn the group finishing on 9 teed off 3 groups ahead of where we would have been. Price was good but we wouldn't have finished our round... we'd have walked off unhappy at the turn.
Eastmoreland - gorgeous course
this is such a pretty course - was a tad muddy but beautiful and played fast and really a nice challenge! Touch holes and fun layout.
Rainy Oregon
The course layout is designed for all levels of golfers. The fairways were muddy and saturated with moisture. Fairway tee balls would plug. Walking was difficult with muddy cart paths and muddy fsirways. Course is probably awesome during summer and non-rainy season. I look forward to playing again. First timer from out of state.
Sloppy
Sloppy standing water branches all over the place no one cleaning up. Great greens.
Golf in December
No rain but wet conditions made for a fun day in the sun of golf. The greens were in very good condition and considering this is the end of December, great time. Pace of play was slow.
Always a challenge
Great shape for this time of year. No plugged lies, no fallen leaves to lose a ball under. Greens running true. Goose poop as always. Had a great round!
