Eastmoreland Golf Course
About
Eastmoreland Golf Course was laid out in 1917 by National Amateur Champion, H. Chandlar Egan. Today, Eastmoreland is ranked by Golf Digest among the top public courses in the country. Eastmoreland is as beautiful as it is challenging, bordered in part by Portland’s Rhododendron Gardens and Crystal Springs Lake. The environment provides a home for thousands of birds including great blue herons, mallards, wood ducks and more. The tree-lined fairways are beautiful year round and the natural hazards such as ravines, streams and lakes require the best from any golfer.

nice golf course
The layout, fairway, green were really good. Many people played but the pace was good enough.
Great condition
Greens were faster then expected. Except for a few minor muddy spots that were not in normal ball landing spots the course was in great shape
Nice Course!
The course is a challenge to golfers of all skill levels and it's in great shape. The staff couldn't be friendlier and it was a very enjoyable experience overall.. I just wish I could hit the ball straighter.
A True Gem of Portland
When I play at Eastmoreland, I feel like I am a part of old Portland. The tradition, the history, the location - it all works together to create a special experience.
Course staff have recently cleared away much of the excess brush and shrubs and have opened up even more spectacular views of the waterways and scenic views close by, such as the Rhododendron Gardens.
The course is always a challenge and it never disappoints.
Mediocre city course
The staffs are friendly. Driving range is nice. Greens are in very good condition. Fairways on the other hand needs same up keeping. Not very much grass on the fairway maybe because it had been cut too short. Have to constantly cleaning dirt from my shoes and the wheels of my pull cart.
Bird poop everywhere and $18 cart fees!
Course is constantly covered in bird poop and they charge the highest cart rates around. Much nicer courses and value around town.
Amazing course, but charged per person for a cart?
Had an awesome time but I’ve never heard of a place that charges per person per cart. My dad and I golfed 18 holes for 14 dollars each but then paid another 36 for a cart? Pretty ridiculous.
great value, easy access, tough golf
Eastmoreland is over a 100 years old. this is unique in the NW. this gives it the added value of maturity in it's layout. this is not a long course but the narrow treelined fairways and difficult greens make it one of the most challenging courses in the Portland Metro area. the staff is great and the bar is exceptional :) enjoy, Mike-
Great layout and great value
Eastmoreland is possibly the most challenging public course in The Portland area. In my opinion, the only course that is as difficult or possibly more difficult is The Great Blue Course at Heron Lakes. You have to be accurate off the tee and second shots are no bargain either. Most holes play longer than their yardage. The greens are plenty big and very fair but positioning your ball in the right place is still important to shooting a good score.
Needs maintenance and upkeep
Tough track. Lots of shade so grass isn’t in good shape. Too much mud on fairways and greens weren’t in good shape. Lots of divots and dead spots. No beverage cart on a Saturday.
