Eastmoreland Golf Course
About
Eastmoreland Golf Course was laid out in 1917 by National Amateur Champion, H. Chandlar Egan. Today, Eastmoreland is ranked by Golf Digest among the top public courses in the country. Eastmoreland is as beautiful as it is challenging, bordered in part by Portland’s Rhododendron Gardens and Crystal Springs Lake. The environment provides a home for thousands of birds including great blue herons, mallards, wood ducks and more. The tree-lined fairways are beautiful year round and the natural hazards such as ravines, streams and lakes require the best from any golfer.

I have played Eastmoreland many times. It is very conveniently located in Portland and that and green fees make it a good value, especially to the golfer that wants to get out for 9 holes weekdays and does want to fight traffic to do so. It is very walkable. If there is a negative it is slow play. This is due to how busy it is. The staff is extremely friendly and the restaurant and bar make it a nice way to end your round.
Friday escape!
Rain softened up the ground and helped to get a jump on greening up. Great foursome, finished in 4.5 hours on a beautiful day. Holes placed in some tough unsusal spots, a treat for a new to the area player and me a local.
Nice experience
Nice course in the middle of the city. Will play again
Super Duper
Enjoyed the round. Not too many people out there, and the greens were in great shape.
Average public courses
Heard about this golf course ever since I started playing golf 7 years ago. First time and most likely it will be my last time too. Nothing special about it. I played this course just because I haven't played yet. Once is enough.
Easy Walker
With the exception of hole #5, a downhill, parr 3. The course is a nice course to walk. I'm 70 years old and had no difficulties.
Surprise
I thought I was signing up for a hot deal but the new thing in GolfNow is to put a regular deal in the middle of a bunch of hot deals so I paid a service fee of 4.98 to sign up for golf that I could've called the course and got to teetimes without the 4.98 fee
CHS tourney preview
Eastmoreland was in better shape on Monday than a month ago. They had just laid down some weed killer I hope on the fairways but it will be gone when they water. Great shape for a much used course.
this course is poor condition
first time play this course. the fair way have a lot death grass and around the green poor condition.
Eastmorland
Cease a fun course to play and now we have a new partnership for playing golf.
A day in the city...
Enjoyed my day playing at East Moreland, obviously a harder course when the after the rains but still had some fun and lost only 1 ball.
Eastmoreland Portland
Great course and facility. Have played it twice in the past week. Weird problem both times with being informed that we were out of position. First time we had been waiting on a foursome in front of us every hole. There was at least one open hole in front of them. The second time we were not holding anyone up and occasionally had to wait ourselves. Time seems to be the way they determine this rather than where the holdup (if any) actually is. Definitely recommended, though. Relatively narrow fairways with gorgeous trees and consistent,, nicely kept greens that were not easy to figure for speed.
