Rainy day
Had a hot deal for the day and we tried to beat the rain. Once on the course we started out great with soft and fast greens but once the rain came everybody left the course and we had the whole thing to our self. Some of the tee boxes, greens, and bunkers could use some help but with the typical Maryland summer and for a public course it looked twenty times better than the course I normally play. Would go back again and really enjoyed myself.
Rough is Tough
Friendly staff. Worth playing only because we got on for under $25 ( 18 holes ). Tee boxes need help and the bunkers are in awful shape. The rough is difficult, in particular because it was early and wet. No complaints because if you hit the ball straight you won't be in the rough.
Tee box is a sandbox!
The course was okay. Several of the greens were not in good condition today. I've played this track quite a few times and it has been better. Great value and the practice range is good. See you soon ......
Derick
Great staff great scenery
I thoroughly enjoyed playing here. The staff was incredibly friendly. Course condition was above average however the tee boxes need repairs but wouldn't stop me from coming back. Liked the fact I had a choice to hit off matts or the ground on the range. Can't review the food as I didn't eat there.
Horrible condition
Started off promising with a free bucket of balls included as part of the greens fee. The range mats are severely worn and should have been replaced several seasons ago. On the course, there is little to no grass on most of the tee boxes, the bunkers are inconsistent with some having no sand and just hard packed mud, others used to have sand and some with a very thin layer over the hardpan. Many holes have no discernable fairway with the rough and fairway being the same length.
The layout seemed nice and if the course was well maintained, it would probably be pretty nice. Overall there are much nicer courses in the area, don't waste your time.
Not what I expected
If your hard up to play a round of golf then come here just know your throwing your money away, this course is in bad shape so if you play this course on a regular basis then I suggest you find a new course or a new hobby, visitors stay away.
Disappointing Conditions
I understand you get what you pay for, but even at $21 this was one of the most poorly-maintained courses in the area. The tee boxes (especially on par 3's) were bare, large parts of the fairways were burned, and the greens were surrounded by weeds. Even the paths were washed out and eroded. This is a shame, since the staff was extremely cordial, the carts were well-juiced and the overall layout was very challenging. If they can put a little more effort into course maintenance, they could charge more and be a very exciting track.
Great Course for the Money
I would definitely play this course again. A few of the tee boxes could use some grass but overall the course and the facilities were nice. They will see me again at Marton Golf
Good round for the money
Overall it was a pretty good round. About what I was expecting for under $40. The greens and fairways were a little hairy but definitely better than other public courses I've experienced in the past. The course is very short (6200 yards) from the tips so if you drive it well it's pretty easy.
Great layout and perfect greens
First time playing Marleton this weekend and really enjoyed it. I would definitely play better the second time as there are some blind shots, dog legs, and drives that I now know how to hit. It was very busy, but still finished the round in 4 hours. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent day out
I had a really good time at this course. Challenging course. I lost a couple balls, but well worth it. I will be back for more play in the future. The only complaint I have is the bunkers were not raked. They could improve on caring for the bunkers.
Good course
Rollling terrain, challenging collection of holes. Tight fairways, relatively easy greens. Good condition in the middle of 2014. Airiated greens in spring, rough long and tees worn, but the course cleaned up quickly. Steve Mills and Frank do alot to make it an enjoyable outing.
Great shape
Had a great time, course in grate shape, people nice,
fair price for beer. overall nice time
Nice course!
Nicely kept with an interesting layout. Greens were a bit slow, but not bad overall. I'm looking forward to playing here again!
First Timer
As a first timer, this was a wonderful experience. Eagle hole # 9 was a huge surprise, 3 wood off the tee and a sand wedge into the hole. Haaahaaa -;)
I will be back.
Tight layout - greens in great shape
First time on this course in last 6 years. Greens were in great shape. However the fairways need some work along with the tee boxes. Played on Monday PM and finished in less than 3 hrs
Marlton
First time I've played Marlton in a few years. Course was in very good shape, especially the greens. Not long, but course management is definitely required. Great value also. I will DEFINITELY be playing Marlton again real soon!
Nice course
This is a very nice course.I like it because it is more open on the front nine, and tight on the back.Very well maintained course with a top notch staff.
Great layout
I'm from New York and this course reminded me of many courses in Westchester County New York. The layout was awesome and the course was tucked away nicely in the area it's in. Would recommend this course to anyone that wants a tight and not overly challenging course.
Good Condition
Was surprised the course was as dry as it was after such a severe week of rain - gentleman advised they had airated (sp ?) the greens - cart paths only but a lot dryer than expected - tee boxes/fairways good, greens had been airated so putting was iffy but okay.
