Nestled in the foothills of the Catoctin Mountains about 15 minutes from Fredricksburg, Glade Valley Golf Club has been selected as a top-100 golf course in the Mid-Atlantic region by Washington Golf Monthly. The Jim Reck design, which opened in 1990, has a nice mix of woods, water, natural habitat and sand traps that will test golfers, but the golf course isn't overly difficult.

So, very nice course that just needs some minor work. Not sure what was up going from 13th green to 14th tee box. Look like a tornado went through. Fairways were well maintained, better than expected with the hot and dry weather we have been having lately. The layout was good, not very challenging. But, this course is great for the beginner golfer or for those who need to work on their game (like me!) I played as a single and it took me three hours without stopping. All employees were very nice and provided great information. Definitely coming back to play it again.

Great Course in the beautiful MD country

Wow, what a nice course. We have been in a drought lately, yet this course was in wonderful condition. Course offered nice challenges for both me (high handicap duffer) and my low handicap friend.

Was a decent course for the money. Went on Friday evening but had a couple slow groups in front of us and we all got bunched up and weren’t able to finish the last 2 holes. Would definitely play there again though. Staff was very friendly as well.

Good golf at a great price

Considering how dry it has been lately, the course was in good condition. Pace of play was never an issue (morning tee time). Nice to see cold water on the course on such a hot day!
