It's getting there
The course is waking up, the tees are in good shape, fairways are coming around , greens are in poor shape. They aerated, sanded and are bumpy, some rough patches still. It is very hard to roll a putt, they bounce all over the place. For this time of the year it is good, I am sure they will have it in awesome shape in a couple of weeks.
Good early conditions, but green were still recovering from being aerated.
Great front 9, but quirky design overall
This course has a great front 9, but it’s over rated a bit. Very busy course, and pace of play is slower than most. The back nine has a strange design. One hole has a net to keep balls out of the practice area and club house, and then there are 2 par 3’s in a row that play to nearly the same yardage and elevation. The back 9 seems like a design after-thought. The greens are the best aspect of the course. Very well manicured. There are few courses that I would not recommend because we all love golf and each course offers something new, but Chicopee is over rated in my opinion.
Sanded greens but otherwise only issue was slow play. 3 or 4 groups on course slowest group in front at one point 3 groups on 1 tee!!
The course maintenance crew deserve a lot of credit for managing a very tough season for most courses with the rain, heat etc. This course managed to keep the greens and overall course conditions in excellent shape. Hats off to the entire Team.
Perfect Day
Played with three military people and completely enjoyed the round. Nice people who were fun to play golf with.
Please fix your ball marks
Course was in great shape but it appears no one who golfs there fixes their ball marks on the green. Nice layout, Played 18 in 4: 30.
BYOB
The course was in good shape and it’s an enjoyable layout without many hazards. Very scorable. Some of the traps had a lot of rocks and were pretty hard. Other traps were fine, so it just depended on which one you were in. The only issue we had was that there wasn’t enough drinking water on the course. It was a very hot and humid day and we were pretty drained without having sufficient water. The beverage cart didn’t come around until we were on #16 which was way too late to help. Otherwise, it was a good day and we’d definitely go back.

Layout is secluded which is very nice.
My brother in law and I had a great time.
We would definitely go back again.
Good Day
Fairways are soft, greens fast and true. The large greens produce some three putts. They're not real fast and the ball rolled rolled nicely, perfect. Good layout with some easy holes and some very difficult. Each hole on the front has character but the back is fairly straight and wide. This is a course that will not reduce your handicap unless you play really well and drop a few puts. This course is worth every cent.
Chicopee Country Club
Chicopee Country Club offers excellent private course conditions at an incredible value!! I would pay twice the price to play here and it would still be a superior value. A++++++++ overall rating.
Great course, in excellent shape.
Great conditions, they have done a good job with this course. Their next item to improve should be the sand traps. Slow round for us, busy day, some people taking too long to play, made for a 4.5hr round.
If you have not played this course, you are missing out.
Another great day at Chicopee CC
The course was plush, pace of play was slow due to the foursome in front on me that never let me thru. I was a single and waited on every shot from the tee to the green. That doesn't take away from the course as it was in excellent condition. Love the course!
Staff and Course Exceptional
Due to extreme traffic on the pike I called and stated I was going to be late. The Pro Shop was more than understanding and said they would fit us in. Upon arrival 1250 vs 1227, the Pro Sop was extremely cordial. We signed in and within 10 mins we were teeing off. The course was plush, pace of play was 4 hrs for 18 and upon completion of the round we enjoyed refreshments served by a very friendly staff member Michele. Though we didn’t eat the menu offerings looked great.
