About
Agawam Municipal Golf Course has been a favorite among local golfers since first opening in 1944. It has a traditional layout that offers a few challenges but it's still player friendly enough for golfers of any skill levels. The holes are fairly straightforward but the gently rolling hills provide some subtly tricky elevation changes. There isn't any water on the golf course but there are mature trees lining the fairways. While it may not be what you're looking for if you're an avid golfer who wants a truly formidable test, Agawam Municipal Golf Course is not to be under-estimated. The greens can be tricky to pitch to and accuracy will take you far. This municipal course is a great spot for a quick and casual round that's also affordable.

Great time
I had a really good time playing here. The greens and fairways in good condition.

Great course, especially for the value!
I highly recommend checking out the hot deals on golf now so that you can play this course at a significant discount, especially in comparison to other courses which charge double or more. The staff are fantastic. They really do care about the grounds there and I actually played with one of the groundskeepers the other day and he was a wonderful guy very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. If you’re around the feeding Hills area you should definitely book with Agawam municipal.
Rapid Improvement
This course continues to improve conditions each time I play here. Kudos to the new superintendent. The greens are in great conditionnandca challenge. Tom is the very best at customer service and Agawam is still the best value for your dollar in Western Mass
Good but not great!
This golf course offers mid to high handicappers a chance of breaking 80. This course offers a few challenges like hole number 9, and hole number4. Overall its a good course.
Absolute bargain
My golf budget is extremely limited, so I spend most of my time looking for specials that keep the greens fees low. Found a deal for here that made it a no-brainer to play.
The greens are in decent shape after recently being aerated. Tee boxes are in good shape as well. Fairways can be a little hit or miss.
The rough is another story. Lots of bare patches everywhere. I know, just to stay on the fairway and it's not a problem. I'm not that good.
For the price, I can't complain. The only course in the area even remotely close in price is an absolute goat track.
We enjoyed the back nine
Very good service from all the staff. First nine fairways are very close to each other but the back is very different. the back in a good way.
Course in rough shape
The front 9 was closed they were aerating the greens.
Not happy there was no notification on the golf now or tee off web sites.
We were told to play the back 9 twice.
We traveled 40 minutes for this.
We should be giving credit for the inconvenience and travel time. Unacceptable!
