15th green, one of the few that wasn’t all patchy on the edges and gives you a nice scenery of those pine trees. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 10/26/2020
Overbooked but fun course
Fernhill is a fun course to play, a lot of water in the river and on the course when it rains it really gets swampy out there. Staff needs some training, I've called this place multiple times in a day to let the phone ring 10 times and get a voice mail, and its next to imppssible to get a bartenders attention in the restaurant. When there is a bar tender or someone in the proshop they are very friendly and helpful.
Family friendly
Played with my wife (who is a beginner) and kids (ages 10 and 12). Was good for them. Would NEVER play on my own or with experienced golfers.
Improvements have been made
Pace of play is not always the fault of the course. It was slow, but, it was the people golfing, not the courses fault. The starter could have "helped" some of the people along quicker though. The course is in better shape than it has been in years.
Can't call.
For $30+ a person you can find a lot nicer coarses. I tried to call the club and after an hour of multiple
Attempts I finally gave up. The only reason I went to this place was because of convenience. It's in the middle of my friends and I. After this last time I doubt I will
Be going back unless its for the twilight special $18 for 18 holes w/ a cart. That's what it's worth!
course has good features
Pace was a little slow starter could of put more foursomes out there. Few of the greens need some work, but overall decent for the money
ok course
Decent little course. Friendly staff but no starter so a bit backed up. Didnt see ranger till after the turn. Cart girl was also missing for the first 2 hrs. Greens were not in good shape.
Well worth the price I paid
I booked this course for $14 and it was well worth the price. I thought the pace of play was going to be at a snails pace, but I was surprised to finish the front nine in under 2 hours, the back was a little slower, but that was because of this guy that kept hitting two balls every shot. The course is old and you can tell
Suprisingly Challenging
The course was in good shape besides a couple greens on the back 9. Overall it was fine, having never played I found a few hazards lurking. Overall good experience and saved 12.50 by using GolfNow. Very long course, not many par 3's.
