Eagle Glen Golf Course
About
Eagle Glen Golf Course is one of central Michigan's best public courses. It has a traditional links-style layout reminiscent of the great courses of Scotland. The wide-open landscape is dotted with natural wetlands and tall native grasses. The layout features large, rolling greens that are framed by strategically placed bunkers and gently sloped mounds. The greens can be tough but there is usually ample room for recoveries and the generous landing areas give high handicappers a chance too. There are many water hazards that come into play but one of the most difficult elements of the course is the wind. It's a layout that requires both accuracy and proper club selection. The sixth hole is one of the Eagle Glen's prettiest but also one of its toughest. This par 3 demands a challenging carry over a pond with very little room for error.

Behind the 2nd green. Medium length, tight par 5. Severe slopes in green. Views get even better than this Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 07/08/2019

The third tee. Tight shot. You can catch one of those tree limbs if your not careful. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 07/08/2019

The fourteenth green. Second longest par 4 on the course. Downhill about 30 feet. Nice view of the farm just beyond and it goes to show how well this course blends into the Mid-Michigan countryside Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 07/08/2019
Highly recommend. Very clear that a lot of time is spent maintaining the course. Excellent greens and very easy to navigate around the course.
Nice links course
Course played tough but fair-looking forward to going again to play
Great Early Season Conditions
Course was in great shape for it still being April. Fairways were excellent as well as the bunkers. The greens were a touch slow, but that certainly wasn't an issue. Cant wait to come back.
Very well maintained
The fairways, greens, and rough around the green were in great shape. Course played tough but fair.
Great course, great rates.
One of the best in the area for the money. Well manicured, bent grass fairways, firm greens.
Well maintained and friendly staff
Course was in great condition and the staff was one of the nicest I've ever experienced.
A Mid-Michigan Masterpiece
I was just driving home from Evart and I had looked at the course website a couple days before. I decided since there was enough light left in the day I could get a round in and I was driving right past Clare so I decided to play this course. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The course was very difficult when it came to shots over water and through chutes of trees from the tee, miss on the wrong side and you’re likely to take a penalty. I thought I would need some local knowledge to score well but the course was fair and you could see everything you need to plan your shot. Only two blind shots. I played near sunset so some of the views on top of the hills were tremendous. The greens were in spectacular shape. Not obscenely fast but not too slow but they have a lot of break in them. The bunkers were the worst part of the course and they were still in decent shape, just didn’t have enough sand in them. Guy in the clubhouse was a very nice guy, he used to play for the Clare high school golf team. Nice practice range and they’ve got a wide range of souvenir golf shirts. $55 for 18 holes with cart on weekends and only $40 for 18 with cart after 4pm they will let you walk but only on weekdays. Worth the 2 hour drive from Metro-Detroit can’t wait for the next chance to play it again.

Nice Layout, Friendly Staff
I've played the course twice and I must say these folks are the friendliness group related to golf that I've encountered anywhere in the state of Michigan and Florida,, and I play all over the state of Michigan.
Great condition....poor pace
We were stacked up the entire back nine.....painfully slow.....no official ranger on site to keep play moving.....
Nice Layout, Friendly Staff
First time I played this course and was very happy with all aspects of the course, staff and fellow golfers.
Everyone was friendly and pleasant, not seen at all places.
The staff has no idea that I have reserved via golfnow
When I arrived and indicated my t-time, the staff asked me to pay. I told him that I already paid via online. I am a little bit embarassed that he had no idea about our payment record. . I am glad I printed out the reservation form with me.
awesome
love playing this course, it's always in great shape and it challenges my game
All Around Amazing
Eagle Glen has been on my yearly playing list for years now and always has been in my top 5 in the state. This course easily bests many others which have green fees twice to thrice the cost at Eagle Glen. Playing conditions this year we’re also the best I have ever seen at Eagle Glen. A must play, especially on your way to locations farther north for the weekend.
Very nice course
The fairways and greens are in great shape!
Some of the holes are close together but really never was an issue. We will play there again.
Work as a team!
Course was great, value is there, and pace good...until we made the turn and stopped for a hotdog. One poor girl faced with a huge order in front of us while no one was in the clubhouse and bagboy just hung out. Need to a system to help each other out. Literally waited 15 mins to get a hotdog! Unacveptable.
The tee sheet was full...be ready!
Best course around for the price it's a must to check out
It's like playing a$100 course for less than half the cost
