Eagle Glen Golf Course
About
Eagle Glen Golf Course is one of central Michigan's best public courses. It has a traditional links-style layout reminiscent of the great courses of Scotland. The wide-open landscape is dotted with natural wetlands and tall native grasses. The layout features large, rolling greens that are framed by strategically placed bunkers and gently sloped mounds. The greens can be tough but there is usually ample room for recoveries and the generous landing areas give high handicappers a chance too. There are many water hazards that come into play but one of the most difficult elements of the course is the wind. It's a layout that requires both accuracy and proper club selection. The sixth hole is one of the Eagle Glen's prettiest but also one of its toughest. This par 3 demands a challenging carry over a pond with very little room for error.

Behind the 2nd green. Medium length, tight par 5. Severe slopes in green. Views get even better than this Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 07/08/2019

The third tee. Tight shot. You can catch one of those tree limbs if your not careful. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 07/08/2019

The fourteenth green. Second longest par 4 on the course. Downhill about 30 feet. Nice view of the farm just beyond and it goes to show how well this course blends into the Mid-Michigan countryside Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 07/08/2019
The Eagle landed...
What a nice place to visit...or live ! Every aspect of this course on this day was great ! Tee boxes, fairways, & greens were like " on TV "....It is " out-of-the-way", but worth the ride !
Unexpected Pleasure
I played Eagle Glen in Farwell last week for the first time. What an unexpected surprise! It seems to be under the radar. The course is sort of a links style. Lots of bunkers that frame the holes well. Very well maintained by a friendly staff, and very reasonably priced - especially for seniors. It wasn't very busy when we were there which made it even better. I played with a couple of guys who don't play much, but because the course is not overly penal were able to have a good time. I'm a low to mid 80's shooter and found much to like. I will be adding it to my regular play list.
The course only has three groundkeepers that keep this place beautiful! Plays fair for all levels of golf. I will be a future member.
What a gem!
We loved this course. The open layout makes it very fun for the average golfer, not punishing but still challenging. I believe there was one spot where we could look around and see every hole on the front nine. It is a bit crowded in spots, but the overall look and feel is wonderful. Course is in fantastic shape, with good speed on the greens. All the staff was friendly, and the beverage cart was around several times. Pace of play was good. What's not to like? We will definitely be back.
always a good time
always have a good time. best course for the price around
Excellent course for the price
Played the course today, for the first time. From the first tee I could tell I would really enjoy this course. Great layout, plenty of challenges with tall grass, several bodies of water and plenty of sand traps. The greens and fairways were in excellent condition. I will absolutely play Eagle Glen when I return to the area again, can't wait.
Even better than the past
I have not played this course for 2 or 3 years. In the past the course was always in good condition. They've definitely upped their game in this area. The staff was very friendly! The course was in excellent condition! The fairways were nicely manicured! The bunkers (unfortunately I was in a few) were excellent - very well maintained, the sand was consistent and soft! The greens were quite receptive and surprisingly faster than what they appeared. You will not be disappointed playing here!
Hidden gem
I’m travel through and we’ve played this a couple of times. It’s a really great course and well kept. My only issue was today when we were playing the mowers were on the greens. When we came up to play they just continued to mow and kind of took their time. We just stood there waiting and waiting and finally we just picked up our ballsand moved to the next hole. Then the mower came past us and went down the fairway. Wasn’t sure if this was his first day or not but he really took the pleasure out of it. Otherwise this is one of the best places and a hidden gem like I said.
Great Day on the course!
Staff was great, the group ahead of me let me through. Overall played good golf and had a great time. Eagle Glen is a hidden gem with incredibly friendly staff.
Love Eagle Glen
I decided to take the afternoon off on the way to our place up north. The staff is incredibly friendly and unpretentiius. I had a 210 tee-time and the 2 o'clock tee-time let me go ahead. The 2 sum ahead of me was slow but just played at my pace and made the best of it. Best score in years and played in 3:30 which was pretty good.
It's kind of a hidden gem with smooth rolling greens and conditions are excellent. Thank you Eagle Glen staff!!!!
Excellent golf course with friendly staff!
Great day on an outstanding golf course. Course is very well kept, worth the 50 mile drive.
