About
The beautiful setting of Twin Birch Golf Club in Kalkaska features stands of red pine and birch trees lining the fairways and the Boardman River, which winds its way all throughout the course. The golf course is mostly flat with the exception of a few raised greens on the back nine. The greens on the front nine are level with open fronts, inviting players to attach the flags. There are ample landing zones along the tree-lined fairways, making Twin Birch a golf course that will appeal to beginners and high handicappers but there are still challenges in store for the more advanced golfers as well. Some of the doglegs holes can be quite tricky. There are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking along some of the greensides and water comes into play on eight holes.

Very nice course
Played here with family. The lady at the counter was friendly and welcoming. I will go back again the next time I am there.
Fun and challenging BUT
course is fun, challenging, and in good shape. it is a shame that the carts haven't been cleaned in years.
Very good course especially for the money
Course conditions were in good shape. Nice course especially for money. Only drawback was restaurant was closed for covid but course was good regardless

Good course
This course is very fun to play, with a mix of short holes to long par 5's. The greens were one of the most challenging I have encountered.
course closed due to weather
Rain opened up before we teed off. Half hour later, there was so much rain they closed the course. Trying to contact GolfNow is a joke. No one to answer the phone. No way to cancel on the web site. Guess I'll have to contact Am Ex and dispute the charge
Beautiful course!
The maintenance of the greens and fairways are superb. The rough is, well, rough. I lost a few balls there. Some of the distances are challenging for senior citizen females like me. It's hard to clear at least one of the gullies. The staff member was very helpful. I LOVE the carts, with the water and brushes for ball and club cleaning. It's such an asset during the round when there's no water on the course. I look forward to playing there again. The price was great, thanks to Golf Now.
Around the bend
The holes have some good challenges to them, mosty trees. A few holes are a straight shot to the hole, but there are quite a few bent lanes that make the course enjoyable and challenging.
The course is in great shape.
The layout is is set up nicely. It makes you use every club in your bag. Not just driver/wedge.
Had a great time, pace of play was perfect
Staff was super friendly and accommodating- would definitely play again when I’m on the area.
Greatly underrated course
This is a great course. What you see from the road does not show the course. Fairways are in great condition, Greens are excellent. Some challenging holes that will peak your interest. Scenery is Northern Michigan at it's best. Staff is friendly and efficient.
Great Course
It's always a pleasure to play at Twin Birch. Had two buddies who had not played the course in a long time and they both agreed that it was great and they would come play again. Friendly staff, greens were great as well as the fairways.
