Twin Birch Golf Club
About
The beautiful setting of Twin Birch Golf Club in Kalkaska features stands of red pine and birch trees lining the fairways and the Boardman River, which winds its way all throughout the course. The golf course is mostly flat with the exception of a few raised greens on the back nine. The greens on the front nine are level with open fronts, inviting players to attach the flags. There are ample landing zones along the tree-lined fairways, making Twin Birch a golf course that will appeal to beginners and high handicappers but there are still challenges in store for the more advanced golfers as well. Some of the doglegs holes can be quite tricky. There are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking along some of the greensides and water comes into play on eight holes.

Not fancy, just nice!
We’ve played here several times. The course is always in very good shape. The greens are a moderate speed with slight undulations, I certainly can’t push that many putts!
Well worth the $
Front 9 is fairly tight demanding accurate shot making. Tree's will bite if you don't keep it in the fairway.
This course is under rated!!!
Excellent condition
Course was in excellent condition, appeared to be only booked, as pace of play was slow on the front nine, much better on the back.
Twin Birch
Course great shape. GREAT greens. Golf Now on the other hand, NO GOOD. Overpaid by half dollar because Course senior rate same 7 days. As always, found your deals (excluding Hot Deals) are within 2 to 3 $ of what course charges. Found this in FL often. Supreme Golf, controlled by you the same. Tee Off Times owed by tour same. All sites set EXACT same prices.
I fail to see significant value.
In great condition this summer
Despite the massive amount of rain, the course was in great shape. Always friendly staff makes it extra nice.
Way underrated
Course is in excellent condition. You must be able to control your ball if you want to score well.
Great course for price
Got it on a hot deal round with my buddy. Staff was very friendly and very beautiful looking course. Would recommend coming back.
Good Value and Golf Ball Galore
I often play here with friends and I was always happy with the values I get here, best price for any course near Bellaire for 18 holes and cart. Also, I always find way more balls than the ones I lose! The most recent game, we found over 50 balls! We were backed up due to slower players, but I’m not complaining, that gave us time to find the balls. This course is my first choice when I decide to go golfing!
Great course
jCourse was unbelievable great condition! There has been a ton of rain this year and the course was still excellently maintained. Not too tough but not too easy, tougher than I thought based on the course history. I would defiantly recommend to anyone who is in the area.
Impressed
First time there for an outing. Both greens and fairways were in great shape. Greens are flat with subtle breaks. No elevation changes, but good character of holes. Bell’s on tap.
All Around Average
Playing Twin Birch made for a pretty monotonous round. Almost all of the green complexes are uninteresting and similar. Parts of the routing don't make much sense. There are a few good holes, mostly on the back, but the others are stale. It was a relatively easy walk despite some distance between green and tee. The conditioning was actually pretty good, but it's a cheap round of golf. You get what you pay for, in my opinion.
2nd time this week
Enjoyed the course so much on Sunday, we came back today. A fair test of our abilities.
Enjoyable
Great course for all skill levels. Tree lined fairways mandate straight drives. Greens were firm and fast. Going back Tuesday to play 18 more. Reasonable price.
Twin Birch
Nice Kalkaska course. Some narrow fairways make it harder to score if your drives are not kept straight. The rains & collet temps have helped keep greens and fairways in good shape. It was windy the day I played and there was a lot of tree droppings cluttering the putting lines. Would have been nice if certain greens were blown off to make putting more enjoyable. Pace was great - done in 3 hr 40minutes.
Great golf
This course is always in good condition.a lot of tight fairways. Greens are true and receptive..Restaurant has good prices and selection
Hidden gem
Relatively tight; nice fairway, greens roll nice, not real fast. Not a lot of elevation change.Home 14 is quite a challenge.
