About
Golden Hawk Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Casco Township, which is just south of Richmond. You won't find too many elevation changes throughout the course but you will encounter plenty of water. There are also 36 bunkers coming into play on 12 holes. The course isn't particularly long at 6,117 yards from the back tees, but the par 4s offers some good length and the ample room off the fairways gives the course a spacious feel. The fairways are generous and quite forgiving, but golfers will face tough approaches to the greens, which are often nestled into the woods or bordered by ponds. The slightly elevated, undulating putting surfaces require accuracy. Golden Hawk Golf Club is a fair test but it's player friendly enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence.

Bad greens
Greens were airated the day before and back 9 was being done the day. we played. Had to play the front twice and the greens were wet. Putting was a muddy mess. Weren't told this until we showed up.
Delayed Tee Time
I got here 40 minutes early and stood in line in the pro shop for almost a half hour. Nobody behind the counter for about 20 minutes. Which then caused a 4 Party lineup at the first tee. My philosophy is that I get there early since if I’m late I could miss my tee time all together. The fact that someone wasn’t in the pro shop for 20 minutes and then took their time checking everyone in was a slap in the face with no apologies for the wait. (For the record I’m not one to usually write a review) . This all being said, I sure hope it was a fluke of a bad experience because the course was a nice and relaxing play.

Good job
This year has been terrible for all courses so I take that into consideration. The fairways were excellent, the greens were great besides the may a holes who don’t bother the repair pitch marks! If you are lucky enough to finally hit a green in the air it is proper etiquette to repair the the area that your ball landed. It is not fn rocket science!

Golden Hawk
This is a decent course. Some of the greens and fairways are patchy. The cart paths are really rough full of pot holes and water. This could be a much nicer course if they did some improvements.
Greens
Putting is very difficult bouncy and not a true roll...near the hole the ball breaks like crazy..I remember this 8 yrs ago..Same situation, very soft near the whole. Great course tho!!

Green and soft conditions
As dry as it has been the course was very playable. I expected big bounces and lots of roll but it played true. Tough to beat $30 and under 4 hour round!
best course
We've played Golden Hawk many times ans it's a long drive from our home. But...IT IS WELL WORTH THE DRIVE. Quite simply it's the best course in the area. Keep it up. Glenn Byrnes
