Great experience
We had a 10:00am tee time, and the course was wide open. The staff member that assisted us gave us the history of the course, which was great. The course was in excellent condition, and the views are beautiful. Dunmaglas is a hidden gem, and we look forward to playing it in the future.
Poor conditions great views.
This was my first time playing this course and while the course maintenance was not the best you really can’t beat the views. The fairways had some clumps and depending on the hole there was some pretty bad wilting but the greens were awesome. Taking my buddies to this course next time we’re up here.
Challenging beauty
Haven’t played here in years and forgot just how challenging this northern beauty is. Management has the course is great condition and the views are amazing

Tough
Great GC with scenic views, greens in good shape
But we'll protected. Par 3s relatively easy but the rest of the course will eat your lunch. Excellent value situated among very $$$$ GC in Grand Harbor.
Nice Course
You really can't beat the views. Course was in great shape. There are no services at the Course however. There was only one guy working the entire show. It would have been nice to be able to get a beer or even a water at the turn.
Challenging course, great undulation
This course is very challenging, great fun, greens are in excellent shape, fairways as well, if you like to place your shots, like undulating greens play here
Don’t go by First Appearances
Nice course with some interesting holes.
Doesn’t look like much from the road and carts need to be completely updated. However course itself is a fun track to play. Not worth the full asking price, but a nice Golf Now discount makes it a must play.
Great Value..
Very challenging but the layout and views were spectacular. A great value for the money. Amenities are very limited... All in all, a great experience for true golfers..
The Potholes of Dunmaglas
$120 for 18 holes where 7 of the greens were like putting down the streets of Chicago, nothing but pot holes and burn marks. The course itself is a great layout. The tee boxes were somewhat level but not well kept (grass was as long as the 1st cut). Greens were bald from areas of ice damage and general mower damage. Played a similar priced course 24 hours later and the greens were perfect and rolled a 10.2 on the stimpmeter. While I understand that courses always need kept up and winter weather damage exists, you would think the course would compensate players by offering cheaper rates for lackluster course conditions.
No circumstance worth paying full price
A classic example of an owner not putting money back into his business. We started by booking our tee time on the website that said $65 for twilight but when we got into the club house they told us it was $100 then when we asked the manage (a real a hole) to match the golf now price he said he couldn’t so we canceled our tee time and then booked it through here for $65 which we thought was a good deal until we got to the first tee box. Clover covered the whole fairway, greens were soft and wet, weeds in the bunker and when I went to use the ball washer on the cart that could’ve been from the 80s there was no water or soap in them. It’s sad because the course has beautiful views, great layout and a lot potential. Overall very underwhelming.
