About
Sugar Creek Golf Course offers some of the best scenery of any course in the St. Louis area. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside from the course's elevated tees. The course opened in 1990 with several improvements made in the following years. The layout is a manageable length at just under 6,100 yards. It is player-friendly enough for beginners to approach with confidence but there are also challenges in store for more advanced players. Water only comes into play on one hole but there are stands of trees lining the narrow fairways. The golf course will generously reward accuracy and good strategy though it is not overly punishing if you are slightly errant. In addition to the course, Sugar Creek G.C. also boasts an expansive practice range with 35 hitting stations.

Great Staff
Decently cool day for the time of year so the course was busy but a good day for it.

Cart paths need some love
I've played here many times. The front nine is very playable for anyone - pretty wide open. The back is tough - narrow undulating fairways. If you can't hit it straight down the pike, you'll have problems. Your ball will take some weird bounces. But the biggest ding on the course is the cart paths. They are falling apart everywhere and will jar your teeth out if you drive with any sort of speed. There was a note in the clubhouse about cart path improvement in the spring (we are already into summer), but I saw nothing to indicate that that project has started. Otherwise, the greens and fairways were in good shape. The tee boxes were a bit hard due to lack of rain.

Great course for the price; amazing staff for any course
This is a fun track at a really affordable rate. Front nine starts off like it's going to be flat and dull then suddenly: hills. Absolutely beautiful undulation, and punishing hazards. Get your tee shots into the fairway or else! Greens we're receptive if not a bit slow, but good quality. I enjoy playing here quite a bit.
But the real draw is the staff. Ever single person here is excited you chose Sugar Creek. They make you feel so welcome and are committed to making sure you have an experience we've all payed a lot more for.
Oh and there is a range. Nothing much, but it'll get you loosened up!

challenging course, much improved
the course is 1000% better than when I played it a few years ago. I rated the course conditions average because of the cart paths. I do realize that upgrading the paths will be costly, but some of the hills and potholes were very bad. Do play the course but be cautious on the paths. Neat layout, crazy elevation changes, a lot of fun!!!!

Beautiful course
I took my dad here to go golfing to celebrate Father’s Day. We enjoyed the course and will definitely be going back again! The course is very well maintained. My dad and I spoke to the owner of the course and he said he and his crew are working hard around the clock to provide the best experience for golfers. The course is absolutely gorgeous as we had an incredible time.

Amazing greens and great value for the price!
The owner and staff were super nice and the course was wide open for us to play at our own pace. The layout is challenging and different than any other layout in the STL area. They have made great strides on the course over the last few years and I’m excited to play a future round there!

Sugar creek
This was our first time playing this course. Overall it was great, pace of play was perfect with a group in front and behind, we never got held up at all! Fairways are coming in nice and greens look and play great! The cart paths could use some work but as we were checking in the owner came and spoke to us and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful! The owner even told us to let him know how it played and mentioned the current steps they are taking to improve the course! We will for sure be back!!

Paid for 18 Played 9
I showed up about 20 minutes early before tee time to check in and get cart and player card. At this time I was told that we booked online in between two leagues, so we could only play the front 9 and had to be in by 3:30. Only redeeming fact was the clubhouse worker gave me two passes for 18 holes. Wish I’d have known this before booking on Golf Now App.

Will Come Again
Came into town to watch the Cardinals and had time to play a round. This was a fun course to play. Quite a bit of elevation changes which made for some interesting shots.

Great course
Have been golfing here for 2 years now, have noticed alot of effort and improvement to the course. Love the layout of the course. Staff has always been friendly and courteous. Would highly recommend if you have not golfed here before

Great course!
New ownership took over and has made a ton of great upgrades. Every year the course is improving into the conditions of a private course and the cost is cheaper than a private course. Very impressed!
