Sugar Creek Golf Course
About
Sugar Creek Golf Course offers some of the best scenery of any course in the St. Louis area. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside from the course's elevated tees. The course opened in 1990 with several improvements made in the following years. The layout is a manageable length at just under 6,100 yards. It is player-friendly enough for beginners to approach with confidence but there are also challenges in store for more advanced players. Water only comes into play on one hole but there are stands of trees lining the narrow fairways. The golf course will generously reward accuracy and good strategy though it is not overly punishing if you are slightly errant. In addition to the course, Sugar Creek G.C. also boasts an expansive practice range with 35 hitting stations.

Busy Sunday
12:20 tee time. Never again. Too, too crowded. But beside that ,it's Sugar Creek, we had fun.
Slightly Over Priced
The course was under repair on a few key holes. Prices were a little steep for having to play around so much repair. Tee boxes could be taken way better care of.
Favorite Course
Keep on coming back. We look past the shortfalls of this course and enjoy it for what it is. Lovely scenery.
Improving
There have been more improvements added since we were there last week. Compared to last year it's like a different course. It's not perfect, but for the price and location, we thoroughly enjoy playing here and we will be back again.
Nice Elevation Changes
There are some very scenic views. Most greens are in good shape and were fairly fast. The fairways were mostly decent. They were very hard; lots of extra yardage on drives. The tee boxes were in poor shape; hard to stick a tee in the ground.
There is a very nice driving range.
The clubhouse has great burgers and the staff is friendly.
nice layout but poor conditions
The course has potential because of the elevation changes and hilly and winding layout. Some of the holes had bare spots in fairways and greens.
hard as rock
in fairness it jas not rained for about a month. The fairways were hard and dry as a rock. Some greens had beeen aerated or sanded and were very slow, bumpy and uneven. cart paths are bad in some areas not useable. areas around paths often rutted. however I would go back because of layout of course, many interesting holes among these hills.
Great course
The staff was very friendly and the course was in great shape. I took advantage of the range, putting and chipping amenities. The new owner has done an incredible job with the course. The golf course challenges every aspect of your game.

Good bang for your buck.
I’ve played this course a dozen times and it’s never looked better. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The course is challenging in all the right areas. The greens were a little rough but for $30 this course delivers a great experience.
Course Improving
From last week we can see the course is improving. They are putting a lot of effort into it. The grounds crew is very friendly. Will be back.
An overall amazing place to be
Went here after being referred by the Gamma’s, and I cannot say I was disappointed, absolutely gorgeous scenery and amazing trails. The staff is extremely friendly and always a pleasure to talk to, overall a very welcoming and fun experience. I will definitely be back!
Course improved
Compared to last year, it's great but the greens are starting to get diseased. Better do something, real quick.
Terrible customer service
A woman named lana is especially rude. Very friendly staff except for her. She has no manners and should not be waiting on the golfers or be in public service in general. I will not be going back because of her.
Terrible track
Save your money and go somewhere else. Greens are in terrible condition and super slow. Fairways are okay. I don’t know what grass they use but it seems like backyard grass. Definitley need a cart to play. Only a good course to bring kids out during twilight to play for cheap
Revamping a Fun Course
I've been playing at Sugar Creek for the last few years as its close to home. This new owner has really but not only money but time and passion into this course. Noticed drastic improvements to the grounds and a relentless effort to get their greens in shape. A new putting green looks to be opening to compliment the driving range.
Overall I love going to Sugar Creek whether playing a Solo round or a good scramble with friends. Keep up the great work and look forward to whats next
Great course still in rough shape
Beautiful course and layout but some greens are still in rough shape much better then last time I played the course but still very rough
