Sugar Creek Golf Course
About
Sugar Creek Golf Course offers some of the best scenery of any course in the St. Louis area. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside from the course's elevated tees. The course opened in 1990 with several improvements made in the following years. The layout is a manageable length at just under 6,100 yards. It is player-friendly enough for beginners to approach with confidence but there are also challenges in store for more advanced players. Water only comes into play on one hole but there are stands of trees lining the narrow fairways. The golf course will generously reward accuracy and good strategy though it is not overly punishing if you are slightly errant. In addition to the course, Sugar Creek G.C. also boasts an expansive practice range with 35 hitting stations.

Fun course with great staff!
This is s really fun course with plenty of elevation changes. The course has plenty of holes to challenge you and also has some very good holes for scoring. The course conditions are pretty good and the greens are in good shape. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I have played here numerous times and will always come back. Thank you.
This course was an excellent course! The staff was super friendly and helpful and would recommend this course to anyone!
Golf Cart Price
This is the second review I have written about this issue with charging $10/person for a cart on top of what you pay via GolfNow. I do like this course and have played it many times over the years, however with this policy in place I absolutely will not be back. The people who work there are great, the course is pretty and usually in pretty good shape, but so are other courses in the area that they compete with. Just booked Paradise Valley instead, better price, better course, and I get to ride for the price I paid. Again this is too bad, but if this doesn't change they won't see a lot of players coming back.
Nice course at a reasonable price
This is a challenging but fun course. They were doing some work to a couple of greens, but most were in good shape.
Extraordinarily friendly staff.
I will go back for sure.
Great course for the family
The staff at sugar creek are great and very friendly. The course itself has definitely improved over the past year but still needs lots of work. Great course to go out and get some swings in or even take the family out to. Do not recommend walking
The course that won’t let you play 9
From the beginning to the end I fully enjoyed the experience, from the people behind the counter to crushing a drive on the greens, it was a overall great golf experience! I am new to golf and decided to play a quick 9 the course quickly sucked me into another 9 holes after seeing the grassy greens and the beautiful fairways! This course is no joke and definitely a spot to check out if you’re new or experienced at golf! I would recommend this course to anyone trying to get into the game of golf! I originally hated golf but after coming out here today it made me realize how beautiful the game is, I would recommend 10-10
Great management and staff as well as course.
Tee boxes might have need a little work here and there but over all fantastic experience. Great fairways and greens. Like I stated tee boxes were great but need a little touch up. But who’s course doesn’t.
Great driving range
Not only has the course made great improvements, but the driving range has never looked better...it's a real range now for all golf skill levels....the staff has obviously put a lot of work into the range...and, it's the only range in the area.
Driving range
What a bonus the driving range has become at sugar creek...it's never looked better. It is now a real driving range for all golf skill levels...it's obvious they have put a lot of work into the range (and there is not another range available in the area).
Driving range
Not only has the course at sugar creek improved amazingly,...but the driving range has never looked better..it's now a real range for all golf skill levels. It's clear they have really put some work into the entire
facility. (And, there is no other driving range around the area.)
No Cart
I have played this course multiple times over the years every year. Their new policy of not providing carts if your t time is booked through Golfnow is a bad decision. I was told you could get a cart even if you booked through GolfNow, but they charge $20 for 18 holes. That was twice as much as I paid for the greens fees that day via GolfNow. This course would be a difficult course to walk for most people. The walk from 9 green to 10 tee would require I call an Uber. I like this course, but there are plenty of places to play that are better and do provide a cart via bookings through GolfNow. I played there last week and that will be my last time until this changes. My friends and I played there many, many times when the course was in terrible shape, and this is the thanks we get. Try Paradise Valley, Pevely Farms or Crescent. Better courses for less money under the current set up. Too bad.
Outstanding
I come here all the time with my friends to play. Great course for a great price.
Friendly Service
We purchased the “Hot Deal” which was a great price but then we were charged $15 per person for the cart. The carts did not work well and the cart path is in awful condition. Way to much money for the condition. Many tee boxes were rough. Fairways were ok and greens were ok. The staff is super friendly. Overall golf conditions were just ok for the cost.
Very impressed and clear the owner has put a lot of work into the course over the past 5 years! Definitely will be back to play again.
