Marsh Oaks at Oak Ridge Golf Club

Played 27 holes before the leagues came out, the Marsh course was in good condition, greens played soft, and grass was in good condition. The next 9 was played on the old course and it is in need of some TLC, a lot of ruts and tire tracks on the fairways (not from carts), a lot of blemishes on the greens. The golf carts are in need of some attention also, but overall as a red hot deal of the day price it was a great value for the price. FYI just get off the course before the leagues start as it becomes a party atmosphere.

The old oak course at oak ridge is a fun course with mature tree lined fairways. The greens were in great shape and moderately fast. From 6500 yards club selection is very important on a few of the real tight fairways. Long ball hitters must be able to shape the ball in order to take advantage of their distance. Pace of play was good and we never had to wait to play our shots. This course is good place to test your golfing skills without getting beat down by the course.

I enjoy playing at Marsh Oaks. I would rank this as one of the better courses on the east side. I only payed $15 for the round so it was well worth the cost. The layout is balanced; some tight holes, some open, some long, some short, some water, some dry. The course conditions were good. I will definitely play again.

Very accommodating. Course needs a little maint on dead/damaged trees and shrubs but great experience overall

Course in poor condition.No sand in bunkers.carts filthy.only paid 17.50 any more would be a rip off

My wife and I play this course every week, last year she had a hole in one on hole 6, so now she tries for another....not to sure if it's gonna happen on the same hole LOL

Greens were great, couple holes where marsh was between the hole and tees the greens weren't visible so judging what to hit was difficult because greens weren't exactly flat, couple holes were trees are extending into fairway seemed better for rightys (lefty) but was fun for the money! Just a little far for me to drive to.

Played from the tips (marsh oaks). First time playing this track, should have played from the white tees. Accuracy is more important than distance. Bring extra golf balls. Holiday weekend was crowded (to be expected). Course was in nice condition. Would definitely play again.

Our tee time was scheduled for a day after heavy rain. It was quite muddy and the cart paths felt like an off road trail. Other than that , we enjoyed the course and will be back.

This course played very nice. My memory prepared me with lower expectations, I was pleasantly surprised how the course played, especially after all the rain we've had lately. Some spots were moist and we steered around them. The Old Oaks course is more open which is what I was looking for since my son was playing and he sometimes sprays it around a bit. We had a nice time.

This is a very nice course. You really have to look at options off the tee and the greens are very nice and in great condition. However the round took over 5 hours to play. It was a Saturday afternoon but there was not one ranger seen on the back nine to speed up the groups ahead of us. I was playing with another person and we paired up with another twosome thinking this would help our pace of play but still had minimum 10-15 min wait on each tee box. there were two groups ahead of us and one of the groups parked their cart intentionally in front of the green on the par three 15th so the other group in front of us couldn't tee off. No rangers where around to talk too and the pace dragged. Its to bad two since I do love the holes and layout of this course but because of lack of management and control I will not return this year.

so , beware if it might rain , don't go to oak ridge or marsh oaks.

Friendly course for the average golfer and an easier course for an advanced player to post a good score. Only problem I notice is that the course has a couple holes that retain water and make the ground really soft and often under repair after a storm. Other than those couple of holes it is a great course for the money.

Book the first tee time of the day because my foursome works on Sunday afternoon. We play fast get out have fun and get to work on time.

But not today a Group books 5 tee times but show up with 7 groups. As we try to make the turn they let the extra 2 groups go off before us and say I have to make everyone happy. Not only did it slow us down
But made a few of us late for work. Very unhappy with that decision they made.

This is a fun course with wood and water hazards on many holes. It starts out tight and open up after 6th hole. This is shooters course where you will user every club in your bag and Driver is not always the best club off the tee. Course management is necessary and if you manage your shots it is possible to score. This has always been one of my favorite courses in the area but have not played it in a few years. The greens are great and fast the way I like them. Enjoy the ride!

Prepaid with a friend $15 for 18 holes (normally 30-35). Great deal but was stuck behind an outing. Ranger wouldn't allow us to drive out to hole 10 as Marsh Oaks number 10 is the farthest hole from the clubhouse. Ended up quitting after 9 due to the pace. But greens were well kept and somewhat fast. Course needs new cart paths though. BUMPY

This was the first playing the Old Oaks course. For this time of the season, the course was in fairly good condition. The greens ran true and were in great condition. There were a few holes on the front 9 with a sea of dandelions, but they were in the rough. I booked the tee time an hour before tee time for an excellent price. The pace of play was excellent...I finished the round in less than 4 hours playing as a single. My only complaint is that the gas carts needs some updating. The cart I was assigned didn't have a windshield and the was very slow to get going every time I stopped. The staff is very friendly.

Ok condition. Some fairway are yellow n some roufs are too tall. Need to also work on getting leaves under trees cleaned.
