A Good Round
This golf course consists of 2 courses. We played the Marsh Oaks. It was mostly in good shape. The Greens were in excellent shape and quick. The staff is very friendly and its a good place to have a meal after your round. The girls in the bar were very helpful and friendly.
We will go back.
I'd go back, but the course needs work!
First off, the Google maps directions told me to go to the next city over and directed me to a community parks and recreational center, not cool. Next, because of that I was late for my already prepaid tee time, luckily the worker was nice to let us tee off when the next people went through. The course itself needs an extreme amount of work, but it was fun and cheap, and the bunkers and waters were fun and competitive.
Probably never again.
Greens were in terrible condition. So many ball marks present that it doesn’t look like anyone repaired their marks for months. Looked like the surface of the moon. Fairways were decent. Halfway house not open, only saw beverage cart girl twice. Overall not completely horrible, but green definitely needed work.
Jabdilla old oaks
Availability’s on short notice on a Saturday is a plus.there was an outing finishing up last hole in front of me.the front 9 went pretty quickly after that and the back was ok also.the hole course 36 holes has seen little if any improvements of the last 15 years.many of the greens were dry and cracked, I know it’s hard to find help nowadays ☹️
Disappointed
I have played Old Oaks for approximately 25 years. Ever since Marsh Oaks was opened, Old Oaks has continued to go down hill.
On this date, the greens were mostly brown and severely cracked (looking like a desert). The 'rough' has not been cut in about a month and was way too long. The fairways were very dry (and I know it has been dry lately) but Marsh Oaks looked very green.
Tee boxes are uneven and in bad shape. Cart path requires a 4x4 cart due to the bumps. It is obvious this course is nothing but an 'inconvenience' for the maintenance crew and management.
My experiences at Old Oaks are finished. I will not return to this course.
My worst golf experience so far
Arrived 20 minutes before tee time. Waited an hour for a cart, then it took 4.5 hours to play 9 holes (paid for 18) This place was a joke. Double and triple booking tee times, we had to wait 25-40 minutes at each tee box before it was clear. Left after 9 because we didn't want to be there for 8-9 hours to play 18.
GREAT DAY
GREAT ROUND OF GOLF, BUT CART PATHS NEED SOME WORK.
Won’t Play Again
Showed up at the course and no one was in the pro shop. Grabbed a cart and played the first 9, paid at the turn before playing the back 9. Course was in really poor shape. Some fairways were roped off and hadn’t been mowed in a while. Lines of players waiting to tee off tells me that they probably over-booked tee times. Lots of bare muddy patches in the fairways. Beer cans littering the entire property. Marsh Oaks looked a bit nicer, might try that one some time but will not play this course again.
