Over priced
38$ for a round, pace was good, greens were absolutely terrible, sounded like concrete under the greens very fast... seems to be an ongoing water issue with the ground throughout both of their courses here
Ok course
Played it for the first time and was super busy. People were hitting 2 shots of tees and pace of play was super slow. Given the beginning of the season, the course was in OK condition and hope with the season progressing it will do better. The carts are super old and not in best condition. For full price would definitely not recommend this course but only try out with specials. Overall suggest playing it to check it out but definitely not a go to course.
Oak Ridge Review
Oak Ridge offers two 18 hole courses, Old Oaks and Marsh Oaks. Old Oaks is a little ragged, particularly the first nine, but Marsh Oaks is usually in pretty good condition with a more challenging layout. The clubhouse is compact, with a small pro shop and decent sized bar/restaurant, and also offers a large tent for social events during the warmer months. Employees and managers are helpful and friendly. Tee times are made primarily online, although you can call directly if necessary.
Needs some TLC
The course really needs some help and it took over 5 hours to play. Seems like the owners don't care anymore.
Garbage
Course in awful shape. Tee boxes are pure mud. Fairways burned out and patchy is an understatement. Greens are like springboards for incoming shots. Not going back
Course has gone downhill.
Course has gone downhill. It has been about 18 or 20 years since we last played this course. Our memories were of an impeccable course and conditions.
Sadly the course is in poor shape. Tea boxes with many bare dirt areas, cigarette butts and trash strewn about the course. It’s late in the season so there must be some understanding of lack of maintenance but it was really poor.
End of yr and conditions where as expected
Considering it’s the end of yr and I e we’re lucky enough just to be able to play I don’t have any complaints really, the course is always The same conditions, not great but not terrible, good for the money , the people there are always awesome!
Don't bother
This course has really gone down hill. Fairways and tee boxes are in horrible condition. Greens are ok. Only paid 20 bucks but it wasn't even worth that!!!
Fun course
Fun course with a great lay out. Dont have to be long but you better he straight.
Decent Practice Course
If you have the option, always select Marsh Oaks over this course. I had not played it in 3 years and the Hot Deal was too good to pass up. How bad could it be? Well, you get what you pay for. The fairways are in bad shape. There are several dead spots and it's like hitting your ball out of a divot every other shot. The tee boxes could also use some work. The greens are in decent condition. The pace of play is terrible. There were 3 groups on the tee box every single hole. if you're just using this course as a practice round, you will won't be disappointed. If you're expecting more than that, pay the extra and play Marsh Oaks. Be aware that the golf carts are older and don't have windshields. This could be a factor as the weather starts to change.
Nightmare
Course Totally over booked had to wait for golf cart to be turned in. Course in TERRIBLE CONDITION more clad then grass obviously no maintenance what so ever. We will not play here again even if was FREE.!! No Covid practice either. We played for 5 1/2 hours and never finished WAITED ON EVERY SHOT. TOTALLY RIDICULOUS . They just want your money and you are on your own Never ever AGAIN.
Too Slow, Course in Rough Shape
Should not take 5 hours for a round. Waited on every shot. Rangers need to monitor pace of play
Fairways were not much different than rough. Tee boxes in terrible shape.
Way too expensive compared to similar courses.
