Nice Day
Course was not crowded and in very good condition. Great day chasing the ball.
Our own course
We were surprised to not see anyone else on the course except for one single and one foursome. Pace of play was excellent. 18 holes / 3 hours 15 minutes. Only issue is the condition of the cart paths. Still like an off road course.
tough lay out.
lot of wet areas in the fairways. The hot dog shack between 9 and 10 was not open , so no hot dog at the turn.
this course requires local knowledge of the course because many of the holes are laid out with trouble left right and center that you can't see from the tee.
Needs work
If they actually put some money into this course instead of the parking it might be worth playing. Greens are extremely slow and have been all year. Dead spots in the fairways, most of the rough is dead or trampled by carts, Especially around the greens. I wouldn’t pay more than $25 to play either of the courses here
Overbooked
Course was in ok shape but way too crowded. A few tees had multiple groups waiting. Also, the ranger sat there looking at a group of 4 old ladies t off without letting my much faster group go ahead. Very slow would not go back. Left after 12 holes.
Perfect
The day was perfect and so was the course. Enough said!
Cart path
Cart path signage small and somewhat confusing especially where Old Oaks #’s 14,15,16 interchange with Marsh #17 and #1
Good course fro the money
I hadn't played this course in a number of years but used to play it a lot. The layout is good but it needs some care. Bumpy cart paths, lot of holes, should be an easy fix. Greens were nice, fairways nice, tee boxes mostly nice but a few iffy ones.
Best Local Course
The course is overall one of the nicest around. The fairways are kept up, greens are always nice and really gives a great challenge. Don’t pass this course up if you see a good deal!
no surprises
Played the Marsh last week and nothing has changed this week. Still fun to play but cart paths are horrible.
no surprises
I have never played the Marsh when it was so empty of other players. We got around in 3 1/2 hours. My only complaint is the cart paths are still very bad. I could make a lot of money by selling kidney belts at the first tee.
no surprises
Nothing new to report. Everything was good! The course is coming back nicely after all the rain we had earlier in the spring.
Disappointed
When we arrived the front nine had 3 foursomes waiting on the first tee and we were only a twosome. The starter said we could go off the back first and then play the front since there was no one booked on the front after 1:00pm. When we got to the front after playing the back nine, there were 3 more foursomes waiting! We had to play the back nine again. It still took 5 hours. Also, the course has not recovered from all the rainy weather. We were disappointed.
Wet & Rough
Very mushy due to all the rain lately. Will be great after it dries out. One thing that really needs attention are the cart paths. You need to wear a kidney belt because all the large pot holes.
Man is it wet. Grass is tall because they can’t mow. Great course but needs to dry out....it’s like that everywhere this year.
Wet
Course was wet from all the recent rain and busy with an outing and perfect weather. Overall a nice day. always enjoy Oakridge.
