Woods Fort Golf Course

This place is absolutely outstanding! I just picked up golf again after a 10 year break and started searching for a decent course that is well maintained and moderately forgiving for beginners. I asked around the golf community and read through hundreds of reviews and I was shocked and literally over the moon to discover that the place that everyone was recommending and the place with the best reviews just so happened to be right in my own backyard, Troy, Missouri. The greens are pretty much flawless, fairways forgiving and perfect every time I’ve been there and the place is so clean, the clubhouse kids that work there are constantly going here and there on the course picking up trash or debris or fixing divots, etc. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable from what I’ve seen. There’s also a beautiful little chipping/putting green AND a nice driving range on site as well. I haven’t had the chance to try the restaurant yet but I’ve heard they’re fantastic. On top of ALL OF THAT the place is actually priced decent. I’ll most certainly be spending a lot of time at Woods Fort GC this summer. This place is an absolute hidden gem. Do yourself a favor and the next time you golf, GO HERE and you won’t regret it!

I took I-70 to Highway 40-61 North for a fast 14 miles to Hwy 47 West to Troy and one mile north on the the service

road. Easy to find! Great value for the money! One can see that Woods Fort Golf Course is a diamond in the

rough in Lincoln County! Much money has been invested in landscaping the fairways and greens and the golf carts

Are all leased and like new and never run out of juice on the rolling hills of Missouri! This million dollar property

Is so challenging, especially the sloping greens, that make this a professional course available to golfers of all ages!

Played on 5/26/20 and the course was understandably wet due to all the rain; however, the course drained well and the back nine fairways began to dry during our play. The greens were in great shape which made putting enjoyable. I play many golf courses in the St Charles/Lincoln County area and Woods Fort is one of the best maintained courses for affordable courses. Highly recommend this golf course!

I play here often. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The course is looking really good and the greens are challenging since they are playing faster now.

Course gives you a challenge. The greens were good. The pace of play was roughly 4 hours. Course should only get better with the warmer weather beginning.

Played Wood Fort on 04/23. What a treat. To be in such great shape this early in the season is amazing! Greens, Fairways,rough and even the bunkers were all in top notch condition.

I hadn't played Woods Fort in many, many years. It's a bit of a drive. I've got my whole group coming out this Sunday to experience it. Looking forward to it. Keep up the great work.

It was forecasted to be cold and i didnt find a foursome, so I decided to try somewhere new....and I am glad I did.

What a wonderful, nicely laid out course. Greens were accepting of approach shots, and a consistently "quick" pace

I'll be back.

Course was in Great shape, some on the truest putting greens I’ve played! Super smooth and fast greens, can’t wait to play there again!

This is course is a hidden Gem, The condition of the course was absolutely perfect. The layout is not easy but very score able. The value is off the charts great for what you get. Even the Golf carts are amazing.

Beautiful course and one I would most certainly play again; however, if I had know they were trying to squeeze in a club tourney, I would have went somewhere else... after the first 4 hours, we had only played 12 holes. The marshalls were friendly but not really moving people along.

Course was in perfect condition, nice carts, nice people couldn’t of been better especially for paying a low fee to play. This course was more challenging for myself but for a better golfer is a great course.

We found the pace of play really slow as the foursome in front was looking for lost balls on every hole and they did not play ready golf ( would drive to each shot and wait for golfer to shoot before going to next ball). Golf etiquette would be to let a faster twosome play through. The course was in good shape and we enjoyed our round. We come down from Canada to visit our daughter and play here each year.

We had a reservation for 3 got paired up with another guy to make it 4 which turned out great for us others may not haved like that. Course was in great shape and played well. The Marshall did tell us no mulligans and to keep up with the crew in front but we were waiting on them the whole round with no one behind us.

Usually great course - today lots of puddles and down limbs, etc.. Sand traps not playable.
