I play here once a year.
I read some older reviews and what they pointed out hasn't been fixed. The greens need some TLC. There are large bald spots filled with sand on some of the greens. Another really irritating issue are the signs directing you from 1 green to the next teeing area. If you haven't played the course before going from 13 to 14 can be tricky. The greens can't be fixed quickly but the signs could be. And empty the garbage cans on each tee box. What I can say is the value was good and the course isn't boring due to the hills.
Jacked up
Tee boxes all dirt. Greens bumpey and fairways all dried up
Course is in OK shape
Tee boxes need some work but it is playable. Most of the greens are in good shape. Golfers need to fix ball marks to help those green get better soon. Nice layout. Will play again .
Course is a mess
Many Tee boxes are dead. Greens have dead spots and ball marks all over them. Fairways are burnt out in many places. Carts are old and beat up. $4 hot dogs. Such a nice layout. Sad they are not keeping it up. For $20 it’s worth it still.
Disappointed
Course was in very bad shape. Fairways were very rough and the tee boxes were in horrible shape. The lack of signage to the next hole was frustrating. We were extremely disappointed all around.
Nothing about it is pure.
Tee boxes are destroyed, half of the fairways are covered w dirt. Greens are poor. Has potential to be a very good course but isn’t maintaining.
Whispering Pines
A few years back this was a fantastic course. I was blown away how bad it was today....greens were burnt and extremely slow w/ long grass... Tee boxes were all divots., weeds in bunkers, burnt out fairways etc... I will not play it again.
Has Potential But Needs TLC
You can tell that this was a very nice course at one point but for some reason they are just not taking care of it. The course layout is fantastic with tree lined holes and all kinds of elevation changes, especially on the back 9. The greens have not been cut in a while it feels, they were very slow and the fairways had many dead spots. The course has the potential to be among the best in Livingston County. Hopefully they begin to take care of it!
Help!
Could see where this was and used to be a nice course.
have not played here and years and don't think I"ll be back. An hour drive is not worth the conditions. Fairways are in terrible shape along with tee boxes. A few greens are suffering also. One bright light is a few greens are in great shape. Also very little interaction with staff. Must go and get your own cart from cart barn area.
I hope that someone would invest into bringing this course back before it turns into another Housing project.
Going downhill fast
I have played several hundred rounds at this course over the years. Has always been one of my favorites. I live on the golf course and ham for close to 20 years. We have been through three owners to management companies all have done great. However of late the course conditions are as bad as they have been in the 20 years I have lived here. Hopefully they will get things on track and restore it to its former glory
Going downhill
I used to play here all the time but course conditions have deteriorated. Greens are diseased and too slow. Great course, please maintain better.
Great Coarse
Very well kept.Greens are in good condition just a great place to play
Don't know what course you played but far from the rating you gave it. Very generous to say the least.
