Rough shape, slow play
Not a huge fan of the type of golf this course offers. Blind shots, target golf, etc. Course wasn't in the best condition, not terrible but not good either. Played behind a 6-some on the back nine for some reason. Never saw a ranger. 5 hour round which is unacceptable considering the early tee time. Price was ok for what it turned out to be. Probably won't visit this course again though.
Needs a little love.
Great course, a little tight, greens and fairways could use some love. Overall a fun course to play.
Average golfer
Beautiful course which is okay as long as you can put your tee shot in the fairway. I would play it again
Up North Vibe
Nice layout, cool "up north" look/feel.
Signage on course could be better. Try not to get lost finding 14 tee box!
Overall, well worth it.
Course has gone down hill! NO DIRECTIONALITY!!!
Having golfed this course a few times, I decided to take my sister for a fun day of golf using a decent rate from GOLFNOW. Let me tell you....this course was a mess! The fairways were horrendous, the women's tee boxes were in terrible condition, clover was everywhere and worst of all, the directionality of this course is the absolute worst I have ever seen. You have no idea on some holes which way to go. I've never experienced anything like it. At one point, we had to call the clubhouse because we had no idea where the green was on hole 5! Add to that, we actually got lost and ended up behind a foursome that had allowed us to play through two holes prior. They laughed and indicated that they, too, had gotten lost and said that it was the worst. We passed (yet) another guy who had gotten lost. Beyond the conditions of the course, they could at least add a few arrows or signs (with the hole numbers) indicating which way to go. Unfortunately I have purchased a few more passes for this course and will likely let them expire.
Needs help
We've been playing here for years. It is one of my favorites. I was so sad today to see how bad the course looked. Tee boxes dried out and undeveloped. Greens slow, fairways dry and dead. First few holes really bad. Then it got a little better. Please someone help this course.
Terrible conditions
I have played at Whispering since they originally opened. I usually enjoy the course and like the layout. On the whole, It is in the worst shape I have ever seen. Greens are ok, but slow. Understandable with the heat and dry conditions. Some fairways are fried, weeds all over the tee boxes and rough, and people driving off cart paths have created massive dirt patches around greens, tees and other areas. $40 is about $35 too much. Sad to say I won’t be back.
