Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis
About
The Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis is an 18-hole, public course located in Little Egg Harbor. George Fazio designed the challenging course, which has a yardage of 6,848 at the longest tees with a par of 72. The course also features tree-lined fairways and greens of bent grass and water hazards that come into play on some holes.
Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis has a particularly tricky 6th hole since there is a pond in the middle of the fairway that you must get past in order to reach the green. The golf course used to be private so it features all the amenities that a private club would have such as a restaurant and pro shop.

Excellent winter golf
Atlantis remains a challenging course. I have played it since mid 70,s. If you play it from the tee that match’s your game, reaching the greens in regulation is a challenge. Each hole is individually carved out of the woods. There are 2 tem greens. Conditions were good, not great, but I always find the layout challenging. Great bang for the buck, we played 18 holes for $20 each!
nice course
First warm day in February so course was crowded. Staff was friendly but starter squeezed a twosome right in front of us just at our tee time even though a twosome had just teed off. He should have put them together. Course was very wet as it has been very rainy lately. But at least we got in 18 holes on a nice February afternoon. Got a great hot deal for $20 and I expect to be back soon. Hopefully course will dry out some before I return.
A Lot of Golf Course
I hadn't played Atlantis in over 15 years but just moved to the area and I am giving the local courses a try. Given the wet conditions in SE Jersey and the fact that most courses are mushy, Atlantis is in good shape. A couple of holes had some wet areas but overall using some common sense you can get around in a cart nicely. I was reminded by playing this course 3 times in the last 10 days what a great layout it is. I played the middle (white) tees and had all that I could handle at 6432 yards. It was very challenging for this 66 year old and I have not been able to get out of the 90's. With the summer crowds gone it is a great time to get out. With all of the resort style courses available don't be afraid to give this Fazio designed Ocean Count course a try.
Area Value
I’ve played Atlantis a number of times over the last few years. This Saturday after a few days of bad weather a few friends and myself decided to give it a shot and were not disappointed. Greens are a little beat up after the season and aeration, but they are coming back. Fairways are a bit patchy but the good grass is still quite nice. Play pick and replace and it’s not a big issue. Still good value for the price in the area.
Buyer Beware
Greens were terrible. Each one a different depth of mowing. No fairways. It is all grass,if that's what you could call it.Absolutely will never be back even at 15 bucks a round.
Nice course. Challenging layout.
The course was just recently aerated and most tee boxes, fairways and greens are a little rough and healing. Still a good value and hopefully getting better. The staff is another issue. The check in desk staff are the most unfriendly and apathetic I’ve ever experienced.....a peep talk is long over due.
Great value and challenging
While areas of the fairway were a little challenging and the ruff has a crabgrass issue all other areas of the course make this course one of the best values ,down the shore.. Restaurant staff was excellent as well as the food. ( if at all possible ,keep the special in tact in the foreseeable future.)
About what I expected
Not bad, not great. Fairways could definitely use some work but for $39 and free lunch it was worth it. Some greens were exceptional, some below average. Decent variety of holes. Bring bug spray!
Not bad
Overall not bad, fairways and tee boxes need better upkeep but overall pretty good value for the money
This course needs some upgrades. The fairways are "patchie", the tee boxes are not welcoming, the signage needs improvement and the sand traps need new sand and the front lips are unfairly high and should be lowered.
Had wonderful time
Atlantis is well maintained GC with a friendly staff. Pace of play was quick. Price can't be beat. Had wonderful time.
So disappointing
The staff is so “I hate this job” attitude. Not friendly at all. Made us feel as if we were bothering them.
The course looked awesome from a distance. Then you get on the tee boxes and you have to hunt for a spot to tee the ball. Crabgrass and dirt on every tee box. No grass to be found. Unfortunately when you get to your ball in the fairway it is the same, all crabgrass. The only thing good about the course are the greens. They were very good, slow because of all the rain but in great condition. Very disappointed with the whole day. To add insult to injury it took us the better part of 5 hours to finish and we never saw a ranger at all. Bad bad experience.
Course was in good shape and greens were well kept. There was s lot of rain a couple of days Before we played but the course showed no signs of it.
Great Course.
Layout is excellent. A couple of challenging holes over water. Bring the bug spray.
Great value - Exceptional county course
Atlantis is in prime condition with beautiful fairways and manicured greens. Really exceptional for a county course.
New signage and repaved paths show that the facility is well maintainted.
Great Course and Staff but Slow Play
First everyone on the Atlantis staff are very nice people and helpful. I will always try to play at this course when in town. As for my critique, I played this course a number of times before where the pace of play moved a long fairly well. But that was not the case on July 13, 2018. I think the starter was so earnest in trying to get everyone out that he caused players to get stacked up. This meant slow play and over five hours to play 18 holes. It was a very frustrating day to say the least. From previous experience, this usually doesn’t happen at this course.
I was paired up with three other golfers. We were very compatible and enjoyed the round together.
Good day at the course
Great weather, course in decent shape, greens better than average. Shot a 84 and had fun with good guys
