Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis
About
The Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis is an 18-hole, public course located in Little Egg Harbor. George Fazio designed the challenging course, which has a yardage of 6,848 at the longest tees with a par of 72. The course also features tree-lined fairways and greens of bent grass and water hazards that come into play on some holes.
Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis has a particularly tricky 6th hole since there is a pond in the middle of the fairway that you must get past in order to reach the green. The golf course used to be private so it features all the amenities that a private club would have such as a restaurant and pro shop.

Best Bang for the Buck in NJ
You will not find a better value period.
Anyone who disagrees doesn’t know what they are talking about.
I’ve played all over the world including St Andrews, Pebble, Pinehurst, Baltusrol, you name it. And now that I’m watching the dollars these days i came upon this Gem. It is a Fazio course though Fazio himself asked them to take his name off it years ago as it wasn’t maintained very well but the design and uniqueness of each hole is still there. No 2 holes alike.
I wrote this simply because of the price point.
I drive an hour to play it because of the (QUALITY OF COURSE to PRICE quotient I have devised for courses.
At the same time I hesitate reviewing this as I would prefer it be my little secret as well.
Come with the OFF !
Course was in good shape, greens were very nice, but quite slow. Gnats were a problem, bring your bug spray, otherwise very enjoyable.
Great Value
Enjoyed the course. Greens were pretty fast and tight. Fairways in good shape. Thick rough Nice little course.
Great restaurant after our round. Good burger. Live music!
Back tee, or blue tee
I go there about 3 times a year, they have to cut the grass of the back tee, is like to teeing from the rough, the grass is really high. There’s always nice people there, but please cut the back tee grass.
Women’s tee blocks
For some reason , the women’s tee blocks on some holes were directly aimed at the trees. My wife was not impressed at trying to fade a shot just to make the fairway. I didn’t blame her for some of the expletives. Also, the height of the grass on some of the women’s tee areas was worst than the 2nd cut of rough. Cut the grass . Somebody, anybody. There was no mention that the greens were just dressed. That made for some interesting putting. The course was challenging and scenic in a park like setting. With some of these changes, it would be a great place to play some golf.
Atlantis
I play here 10 times a year. Course is in beautiful shape. Outstanding value and restaurant is the best.
Beautiful day for golfing
We played this course at 2 in the afternoon. It was a good paced game and we didn’t feel rushed until the last 4 holes. A young man who was walking teed off, while we were still playing our hole. That was annoying but could happen anywhere. The fairways were ready for mowing, but we had just had a week of steady rain, also could happen anywhere. We will definitely be back. The staff is very friendly!
Grass needs to be cut
Not a bad course but rough needs to be cut-easy to lose golf balls.
Other than that I like the course.
Sand traps
Great deal for the money. Overall not bad at all. Just wondering why there were no rakes near any of the bunkers actually no rakes at all.
Another good bar with a decent golf course
Absolutely nothing wrong with the layout of the course. I believe that you won't find to many public courses for this price with a 130 slope. There were 2 greens out of commission and the other 16 were in winter shape, I've recently played on worst. There was plenty of grass in the fairways so you didn't have to look hard to give yourself a good lie if inclined to and the need to play out of casual water was very limited. Nice to finally play a dry course for the most part. Most traps were playable and the tees were functional. Did I mention they have a bar with a good happy hour and loads of different beers. I hope to be back before the green heads decide to play a few rounds this season.
Terrible
It was not like a golf course.
there was no green on two holes ( they put the flag on the fairway.
There are no glass on green
Fairway were not maintained
It was terrible.
