Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis

Ladies who work at counter need people skill training.

Nice course, played a bit more difficult due to the windy conditions, course was in good shape for this early (Feb 27th) Price was very reasonable through GolfNow

Course is almost always in great condition. Fairways are long, narrow and very challenging. Plenty of bunkers surrounding the greens. If you can play well here, you can play anywhere. Just bring bug spray during the summer, green heads are a killer.

For a public course, this is a gem. The bunkers need work but for the fee charged, this can be overlooked. The greens while not fast were in good shape and the ball rolled true. My group likes this course in the off-season when the play is fast.

The design was better than expected but course was not in great shape . Big rain the day before slowed greens so much you were hitting 10 foot putts like they were 30+ feet out .

Well designed course in above average shape, especially for a county course in the fall. Front nine being fertilized, so slower greens They tried to clear the leaves off the greens and fairways, and did a good job...but don't hit the ball into the trees, and the oak leaves will win. Nice value.

Although the conditions of the fairways and tee boxes were below my stuck up private course standards, the layout of the golf course was quite challenging and interesting...Greens were in good shape but a bit slow for my liking..Overall a good experience....if the county poured money into this course like the Monmouth County courses, this would be one terrific Course. ....

Course was decent. greens were ok other than piles of leaves on 2 of the holes which made it impossible to putt. a few of the bunkers were and just dirt. Starter was really nice and helpful. front nine was under aeration so keep in mind you can only play back 9

Originally designed by George Fazio as a private club now run by Ocean County. I found it to be in very good shape. We played it after several days of rain and still found the course to be very playable. Fairways were in great shape as well as the greens. The Superintendent is doing a great job maintaining this gem of a design.

Very disappointed in the shape of the course...T boxes were all weeds, parts of fairways were bare with no grass, greens were also rough. Will not go back

Went mid week with my wife; a week after Labor Day so the crowds were down. Pace of play was good, had to wait sometimes for the group in front but considering they were a 4some & we were a 2some that can be expected.

Fairways were in so so condition but green were very kept. I'll be back and will recommend to friends.

With the advent of a new course superintendent Atlantis has become a very nice course to play and a very good value. From tee to green this course is in very playable shape. While the greens tend to be a bit slow they are smooth and puttable. The course has a very strong final three hole finish!

September gold at Atlantis is always good because of availability of tee times. Include cost of play and Atlantis is a viable option for a nice day of golf.
Starter was not having a good day and made getting started an adventure. With no one on the first three holes could not understand why he was so condensending as if this was my fort day with a club in my hand. Customer service training would go a long way to make Atlantis a fun experiance!
The grill is phenomenal and service teriffic!

Great course for the price . Greens a little slow but we played late in the day.overall a really nice place to play golf staff very friendly will play there again

I have wanted to play this course for a few years now, based upon the advertised rating of the course from the Championship tees: 73.4 And the slope of 131. This is all nonsense, don't believe it for a second. The course is not that hard. I made many pars and I found almost every hole par-able. I even was putting for birdie on two holes. I only play from the championship tees and I shoot on average in the high 80s. On this course I shot an 83.

It's a nice course, decent condition except mud puddles in a few spots. However, this is not any kind of special course. It's not worth driving an hour, like I did, to play it, though my round didn't cost much.

Also, the flies are really bad at this course. Not on one or two holes but the whole round.

To some this up: I played this course once and I never to go back and play it again. Not worth it.

With a little better attention to tees, this course could be very attractive.

The reviews I read made this course seem great, not so. Weeds and mud everywhere. The women's tee boxes were nonexistent. The green flies where vicious,not sure when the course was cut last. the divots had no fillers because carts didn't come with any. The greens where bumpy, hadn't been rolled. On the turn a sign said drinks and snacks ahead on 10 there wasn't anything open. I drove back to the pro shop no drink machines. The attended said there was some waters in a cooler that was all. Very disappointed did not enjoy the round at all.

Ocean County should be ashamed to say they maintain this course. Tee boxes burnt and in terrible condition. Fairways were burnt, greens were burnt and like a rock. Fringe was horrible. Overall the course is in poor condition. I have played here in the past and course was much better.

The greens are in bad condition. They should be cut and rolled.
