Mays Landing Golf Club
About
Former president of the PGA of America, Leo Fraser, designed the 18-hole public course at the Mays Landing Golf Club with both advanced and beginning golfers in mind. Touted as the "best birdie for the buck," the Mays Landing golf course provides a great value for all golfers. The course was meticulously designed over 175 acres of beautiful pineland with scenic tree-lined fairways.
Mays Landing Golf Club provides an experience similar to one at a private country club with its excellent service and amenities including a pro shop, restaurant, and PGA instructors on site. On hot days they even have cool towels for you and they always have roaming beverage carts. The course is 6,633 yards at the longest tees, playing to a par of 72.

Bad condition
Course is in horrible condition, greens are nonexistent with little to no actual grass. It is like putting on a leather surface. Fairways are full of crab grass. Course layout is good and place has a lot of potential, but needs to be redone.
The course is in horrible condition
The greens on this course was absolutely embarrassing. It was one of the worst greens I’ve ever seen on a golf course. The majority of the greens didn’t have grass. I was extremely disappointed in the condition of the course.
What Happened
Played this course years ago and remember the conditions being a lot better then. This year greens barely had grass on them. Someone either doesn’t know what they are doing or just lack of funds to maintain. Great course layout and staff. Would play again only if greens come back! I really hope they do.
No info
Golf now didn't mention the poor condition, burnt greens, and hole repairs going on.
Bad shape
This course is really in terrible shape. The front 9 has diseased fairways and greens. The fairways across the course are more like light rough. I like the layout and if it was maintained, could be a decent track, it’s not. Also, my twosome was stuck behind 2 bozos playing slow and there was no ranger to be found to speed them up or to tell them to let us through.
Enjoy the cow pasture
This had to be worst shape I have ever seen a course. The greens were black the fairway was like hitting out of the rough the bunkers were hard the course was awful. I don’t think the fairways have been mowed in a week. When checking in they did not say anything about the course conditions being bad or we might have decided not to play. Instead of charging 55 they should have paid us 40 to play. Better off going to another course and saving your money.
Garbage Greens
They lost the greens. Course is not worth the price normally, then mix in unplayable greens.
DO NOT PLAY
The course was in really bad shape. Do not waste your money
Worse greens I ever experienced in my life, bunkers are dirt not sand.
Listen to the recent reviews and DONT PLAY HERE
I’ve never written a review before but I have to let this be known... DO NOT PLAY HERE. The conditions were horrendous. The greens are unplayable, you are practically putting on dirt. Even the fairways are horrible. I knew the cost was too good to be true ($45 for a Friday morning). Honestly, I wouldn’t even play here if it was free, I rather spend the $60 to play on a playable course. Listen to the reviews and don’t waste your time and money.
Horrible
This course was horrible. The greens were awful. The fairways were terrible. Worst course I’ve ever played!
course
Course very dry, ground was hard and fairway was in poor condition
Very Poor Conditions.
Should have been discounted. Greens were horrible. The rough was more like weeds & concrete and the fairways was just crabgrass cut very short. Some holes were better than others. Not sure I would play there again this year but I guess that’s why it was only $49.
Maintenance Required
Course very poorly maintained. Greens worse than local municipal courses. Fairways just as bad. Just off the fairway overgrown. Sand traps unplayable. Worst conditions I’ve seen on a course in my short golf career. Wasn’t worth the $55
Al Redcay
Staff hardly even noticed we were there , greens had very little grass , rough so long you had trouble finding balls , fairways not to bad
