About
Former president of the PGA of America, Leo Fraser, designed the 18-hole public course at the Mays Landing Golf Club with both advanced and beginning golfers in mind. Touted as the "best birdie for the buck," the Mays Landing golf course provides a great value for all golfers. The course was meticulously designed over 175 acres of beautiful pineland with scenic tree-lined fairways.
Mays Landing Golf Club provides an experience similar to one at a private country club with its excellent service and amenities including a pro shop, restaurant, and PGA instructors on site. On hot days they even have cool towels for you and they always have roaming beverage carts. The course is 6,633 yards at the longest tees, playing to a par of 72.

Finally
Nice, Governor finally let people play golf. Slow play but who cares. Playing golf. Finally. Course was not in good shape. Had a month to prepare but if no income from golfers they probably couldn't pay ground crew. Just glad to finally play. Beautiful day. Walking. Twosomes only. I'll give them a pass. Usually really fast greens. Not today. Fairways usually not great but some weren't even mowed. But again.... I'll give them a pass. GREAT TO PLAY!
Do waste you time to play this couse
Does not look like they want to spend money to clean up the course

The course was in fairly good shape after a mild winter. With the first signs of spring showing I expect the course to awaken shortly. Overall always a fun course to play, friendly staff, great bar!
A winer season gem
This course is coming back from a terrible 2018 and I am hopeful the improvement continues. The greens are returning to very fine shape. For the price, this course is well worth it.
Best Dollar Value in Jersey
Thais is BY FAR the Best bang for your Buck at the Jersey Shore....close to AC...Tees and Greens were great,,,,fairways somewhat not defined but still ok. Great Layout and Great Length...A must play if you dont like throwing your $$$ away on Expensive Green Fees.
Great Day
Course condition was average, but it was a beautiful day for golf. The staff is always friendly and the pace of play was exceptional. Greens good. Will definitely be back.
Still reeling from too much rain followed by too much heat?
Either this course suffered the same stress fate as some others this year, or they simply aren’t taking care of the turf...not the tee boxes, not the greens and definitely not the fairways. Shame too, because this is an interesting track with nice length and challenge, so I’ll hope they can get the course conditions and if I see reviews reflect that, I’ll try to come back again next time in the shore area. Did happen to have a red tailed hawk help me find my ball after yet another wayward slice.
Terrible
The course use to be great , now it it the second worst course I have ever played in all my golf years. If you want to waste your money then play. I would not play there if it was free
The course was in very poor condition. Fairway were almost unplayable and the bunkers need renovation. Green were ok.
Great Value for the cost!
I've played the course multiple times and have always had a great time. Course is awesome for beginners or more experienced players. For the price you can't beat it.
Good Course but slow Day
As always the course has a great and challenging track, but conditions could have been better. Biggest issue was pace of play. For some reason they were sending out only twosomes and we were constantly waiting on shots. What should have been a 4-4.5 hours round was closer to 5.
Bad conditions
Fairways were either thick crab grass or mud.. The course was in terrible condition. Paid full price for this waste of time, should have paid fall rates. The greens were in good condition but extremely slow. I haven't played this course since Sandy, I now remember why. Avoid this course, better choices can in this area.
Poor
Greens are burnt and fuzzy, fairways full of crab grass and bare spots played the white tees handicap26 shot 97
