Mays Landing Golf Club
About
Former president of the PGA of America, Leo Fraser, designed the 18-hole public course at the Mays Landing Golf Club with both advanced and beginning golfers in mind. Touted as the "best birdie for the buck," the Mays Landing golf course provides a great value for all golfers. The course was meticulously designed over 175 acres of beautiful pineland with scenic tree-lined fairways.
Mays Landing Golf Club provides an experience similar to one at a private country club with its excellent service and amenities including a pro shop, restaurant, and PGA instructors on site. On hot days they even have cool towels for you and they always have roaming beverage carts. The course is 6,633 yards at the longest tees, playing to a par of 72.

JUST OK
I have wanted to play here for a long time , finally got the chance. Let me say my 2 playing partners I hooked up with were gentleman. Very enjoyable people. The golf course. All you can say is JUST OK. Biggest complaint? As usual , pace of play. Slow as pouring ketchup. 2 groups in front of us passed away and nobody told them. They were so bad I counted 10 strokes to get to the front of par 4's . So I can assume.hackers Paradise course. And to be honest that's as the course is it's just ok . Tee boxes, greens , fairways, just ok. You get the point. Unfortunately I play all over NJ. Mays landing sadly 1 and done
Fun
Good course. Fun layout. Great when you’re visiting the Jersey Shore. Good value. Not too much trouble but enough character to make it interesting.
Mid level, budget option down the shore
Course was decent, but not great. Greens were healthy, but thick, bumpy, and generally slow. Fairways were fine, but not much rough to speak of. Quickly transitions from fairway to patchy hardpan areas. Very rocky sand, but not bad. Would benefit from some tree trimming and wildgrass growth. Layout is tight, but on the short side so fits.
I would have liked more, but for price isn't a bad budget option. I'd go back on a hot deal, but there is a reason it's cheaper than the local competition. For highly skilled golfers, may seem boring or not quite up to standard. For average hacker, course is approachable and a decent challenge.
Good course
Booked a threesome. They asked to add a fourth as we were on the first tee. Glad we did. Had a great round. Pace was nice. Didn’t feel pressure from behind. No one in front. Course was in really great shape aside from the greens. They were a little inconsistent. Slow, then fast. Fast, then slow. Some greens needed to be cut. But overall a great experience that will bring us back.
First time this year
Closures was in good shape, weather was fine, not too crowded.had a good partner
Mays Lansing Golf Club
Greens on front nine were horrible. But much better on back nine. Greens very slow. Fairways some good some not good.
A great 420 Course
Went out for the first time this year, pulling to left first nine, back nine, starting with the nine hole in fairway most of the time. Happy with my round of golf today. Mays Landing is a great 420 course.
Always Enjoyable
Have played this course many times. It is in good condition. Fairways are wide but white markers are back near the blues making the holes longer than normal for the average player.
Staff is very friendly. I especially like the practice of bringing a golf cart to your car as you arrive.
FUN Course Value Prices
Played on an Early Sunday Morning. Got a good deal about half the normal rate. The course had a fun layout for the most part not just a back and forth course and very quiet peaceful setting. There are a some homes bordering the course but you don't have to worry about hitting them as they are pretty much well set back. The greens for the most part were well kept. The fairways and tee boxes did have some bare spots but overall not a problem. Maybe if I paid full price this would have been an issue. They have a nice short game area and an extra large practice putting green. They do have a driving range as well. They have a large snack (beer) stand after 9 and b4 10. Staff was friendly for the most part. Overall this course is a solid discount option for the area. Yes there are better courses in the area but do they have as good of a deal? I would play again if in the area for a deal.
Course conditions
The course is coming back very nicely , after a terrible winter and the new groundskeeping staff is doing a wonderful job. Also the stairs behind the desk very friendly Bill and Becky always welcoming everyone with a smile
