About
Spooky Brook Golf Course in Somerset is a player-friendly course that is perfect for beginners. It offers just enough of a challenge but it still allows you some room for error. At 6,655 yards from the back tees, the golf course is relatively short but the greens, tees, and fairways offer plenty of room. The mostly flat terrain makes for an enjoyable walk and it's also wide open. While the golf course may not be the most formidable test, it does have a few challenges in store. Water has a presence throughout the course, especially on the back nine. Whether or not you are looking to hone your skills or if you want a casual round, the well maintained golf course appeals to any skill level. In addition to the course, Spooky Brook G.C. also has a driving range that you can use to warm-up.

Oppressive heat Day
Heat index was about 110 with a real temperature of 98.
Was crazy hot day but we made it through 18.
My only complaint was no water on the course do you better bring some.
Course was in good condition overall and greens were fast.
Wide Open Course
Easy walking course. Wide open fairways. Rolling greens protected by many bunkers. Played on a 90 degree day with no clouds. It was HOT and a little brutal. Not much built in shade or relief from the sun.
Great layout
Course is challenging for everyday golfer as well as the beginner golfer.
Excellent
It’s a well kept course that does not get overbooked. The layout is simple and forgiving. Would definitely recommend.
Spooky Brook is a well maintained public course
Somerset County public courses are usually well maintained but Spooky Brooks fairways and greens are exceptional. The holes play moderate given the wide open fairways and forgiveness when you slice/hook into the rough. The ability to find your ball when you miss the fairway is nice compared to some other courses. Bunkers are well kept with soft sand and no debris that would scuff your wedges (i.e. pebbles/rocks). Overall, would recommend to anyone in the area to play Spooky Brook.
