About
Spooky Brook Golf Course in Somerset is a player-friendly course that is perfect for beginners. It offers just enough of a challenge but it still allows you some room for error. At 6,655 yards from the back tees, the golf course is relatively short but the greens, tees, and fairways offer plenty of room. The mostly flat terrain makes for an enjoyable walk and it's also wide open. While the golf course may not be the most formidable test, it does have a few challenges in store. Water has a presence throughout the course, especially on the back nine. Whether or not you are looking to hone your skills or if you want a casual round, the well maintained golf course appeals to any skill level. In addition to the course, Spooky Brook G.C. also has a driving range that you can use to warm-up.

Perfect Day!
It was 38° and sunny to start and by the time we finished it was 48°. I had driven two and a half hours south from Woodstock, New York and I could not have been happier driving back. The greens were smooth as summer and the tees and fairways were in great shape, too. And even more importantly the gentleman at the cash register and then Pete, the starter could have not been more kind and accommodating. I walked 18 holes and had booked another round for the afternoon on Golf Now, and the great guy at the cash register said that I can play more than 18 holes for free on this course as long as you're walking. So for $52 I played 27 holes and loved every minute of it. Very, very walkable course and for the most part nice, open and wide fairways. Could not have been a better course to start the year on. I'm thinking of coming back with my sons this summer and staying in a hotel and playing a couple days here and at some of the other Somerset County courses. Thanks so much, Everyone at Spooky Brook. You are a totally Class Act and have a well run Golf Course. PS I had such a great time I shot one under 71 from the blue tees! And won $4 from the great twosome, I was paired up with. Highly recommend...
Nice layout
Some long par 4s. Great pace for public course, even though its winter the course was busy.
Course was muddy but considering late November had to be expected. Tee boxes where ok ,fairways in good shape ,greens rolled slow and nobody fixes there pitch marks. Pace of play .I waited on every single hole and every single shot. And no ranger to be found. People need to play from the right tee boxes and play ready golf. Especially when you are in a cart. But overall it was a good course.
Loved It
If every public course were like Spookybrook or Quailbrook golf would be booming. Pace of play was an issue but the course was not overbooked. The pace issues were due to people who had no feel for the game.
