About
Quail Brook Golf Course in Somerset is one of central New Jersey's top public courses. The challenging design is a favorite amongst local golfers. The layout has a diverse mix of holes, some of which are spacious and wide-open and others that are rolling and tight. Although the golf course may seem short at 6,630 yards from the back tees, don't be fooled by the yardage. The course can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. The front nine has subtler undulations while the back nine is dramatically hilly, which makes it a tough course to walk. Quail Brook Golf Course's undulating fairways lead to challenging sloped greens that are framed with strategically placed bunkers. There aren't too many opportunities for driving, but your short game will definitely get a workout.

Nice county course
I had not played Quail Brook in over 25 years. Course conditions were great. Front 9 more open and back nine hilly and more challenging. Out of county rate 54 walking is comparable to what I pay in county at most Monmouth County. courses. On back 9 you will definitely get your steps in. Pace of play was great! Played early morning.
Worth the ride
Has great time playing except for group behind us hit into to us, bunch of beer golfers. Other than that no complaints, also no food at course bring your own
Very enjoyable golf course
Everything from the tee box to the green is in great condition. Fairways are well maintained. The rough is cut the same length everywhere and it’s not difficult to play. Greens are immaculate and easy to putt. Bunkers are in excellent condition. The course is fun to play.
Nice place to play
Played as an out of county resident so price was $74 at noon.
Greens were excellent. Fast and firm.
Tee boxes and fairways were green and thick.
Bunkers were nicely manicured with a hard sand. Very consistent.
Enjoyed this course and was pleasantly surprised as to how nice the conditions and layout were. I would play again.

Decent range. Nothing special but good enough to warm up. Nice putting green.
