About
Quail Brook Golf Course in Somerset is one of central New Jersey's top public courses. The challenging design is a favorite amongst local golfers. The layout has a diverse mix of holes, some of which are spacious and wide-open and others that are rolling and tight. Although the golf course may seem short at 6,630 yards from the back tees, don't be fooled by the yardage. The course can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. The front nine has subtler undulations while the back nine is dramatically hilly, which makes it a tough course to walk. Quail Brook Golf Course's undulating fairways lead to challenging sloped greens that are framed with strategically placed bunkers. There aren't too many opportunities for driving, but your short game will definitely get a workout.

Very solid option not too far from the city. Enjoyed the layout and played one of my best rounds ever.
Always Great Course
Course was in tremendous condition as it always is. Pace of play was great also and staff is very friendly and efficient.
The course conditions were really good, especially considering the cost. The course layout was fun and had some challenging elements, tall grass, large bunkers etc. The pace of play for an after wool round was amazing, 9 holes in an hour and ten. Others on the course were nice and let me play through and walking this course was very easy. Cannot wait to come back and play a full 18 here.
Home sweet home
Grew up on this course but haven't played in maybe 15 years. Shot a personal best, but played from the blues but really should’ve played from the tips as it’s relatively shorter than I remember. They also took out a ton of trees that i used to hit into all the time as a kid. Fairways are well maintained and rough is pretty lush yet manageable. Greens are very fair and can be quick when in the sun. Still a solid course to play for all levels.
Fun Round
Had a great day at this course. Course was in great shape. Fairways were well groomed with virtually no divots. Greens were lightning fast and in great shape. Only negative was there was not enough sand in the bunkers. Bunkers bordering greens were difficult to get out of because of the thin/hard sand. (Shouldn’t have been in those bunkers in the first place.). Definitely going back to this course!

Nice course
Played a solo round of 18 in the afternoon. Course was in great shape. Wide fairways, big but slow greens. Pace of play slowed down on the back 9 but it was 90 degrees out. Not much off course amenities to speak of.
