About
Quail Brook Golf Course in Somerset is one of central New Jersey's top public courses. The challenging design is a favorite amongst local golfers. The layout has a diverse mix of holes, some of which are spacious and wide-open and others that are rolling and tight. Although the golf course may seem short at 6,630 yards from the back tees, don't be fooled by the yardage. The course can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. The front nine has subtler undulations while the back nine is dramatically hilly, which makes it a tough course to walk. Quail Brook Golf Course's undulating fairways lead to challenging sloped greens that are framed with strategically placed bunkers. There aren't too many opportunities for driving, but your short game will definitely get a workout.

Greens aerated April 19th otherwise the course was in excellent condition.
Nice course, but greens were Aerated.
Nice course, good value for the money. However, no indication beforehand, from either Golf Now or the course, that all of the greens were aerated. As a long time golfer I certainly understand that this needs to be done, for proper course maintenance, but I would appreciate the notification. This way it is my choice if I should like to waste my money putting on horrific greens or wait till the course heals.
Aeration
I did not know but the greens were aerated yesterday so, but for that, it would have been perfect all around.
Great course but aerated greens on Monday.
Course in great shape. Pace of play was great done in three and a half hours however no mention on booking site greens were aerated on Monday. So putting was not enjoyable why charge full price?

Enjoy this course very much. Bought an out of county card and plan to make this my home course
Great county course
I play QB quite often and it is in great shape.as always. Definitely recommend it. There is a range and a practice bunker and putting green to sharpen your game before the round.
greens in good shape for thr time of the year
Good condition overall. Some non critical areas need some tlc.

Greens were fast but rolled true.
A good mix of challenging and straightforward holes.
Only minor complaint was pace of play but it was a beautiful spring day and a lot of people were out on the course...

The green in early spring is as fast as the green during the summer. The course is well maintained.
