Took a great course and made is spectacular. The redesign with new tees, taking out trees and adding bunkers made this place a must play destination. Its just so good!

Excellent course the greens are huge the rough is rough like it should be. As single player I enjoyed the gentlemen that I played with. I saw deer off the course , gliders getting launched over head and a view of the campus. Great course great day. Thank you 😃

The fairways were lush, the first cut of rough was very playable and the rough was deep and thick. The greens were pretty fast and the pins were back and in tough locations. The gps app for your phone was great. Showed the hole and hazards. Distances were updated to your current location on the course every shot. The staff was very friendly and met us upon arrival to get our clubs and put on our carts.

Awesome course ! Fast greens excellent condition, sand traps white beach, rough is deep. A real challenge!

Greens are excellent. Lots of water in play, some not visible from tees. Clubhouse and staff were great.

Been playing the course for many years now. I purposely haven’t played in a couple years just so I could play once all the upgrades have been completed. Everything from the new carts,cart paths, putting green, clubhouse and several fairway bunkers and green resurfacing. It’s all perfect. What a gem of a course

Seven oaks is a great golf course, beautiful fairways big greens and a great layout. Challenging for every level and a real bargain in the fall especially.

I'm biased as a alum but 7Oaks is the best college course there is. I have played Cornell, NC State, UWash, Duke, UGA, and others but Colgate's Course is head and shoulders above in design, challenge, and beauty.

Great course. Grounds we awesome. The rough was grown out more than normal due to the Mid-Am being placed there next day. Fairways and greens were excellent. Facility and food was also excellent. Who’d would think you could get a lobster roll that was also 5 star in Central NY?

Having played the course several times over the past 16 years, i believe the course was in the best shape I've seen and that's saying something about one of the premier public courses in Central NY. The new bunkers are well positioned and make the course even better and more challenging than before. Definitely a course to play if you're in the area

Saw all the previous reviews. I was disappointed.

First the good points: decent layout, fast greens, sand in the bunkers were the best I have seen in CNY, nice clubhouse, back 9 has some very nice holes (picturesque, fair to play).

Bad points: front 9 was abysmal. Trenches or a pond everywhere, I can deal with ponds as they are usually visible, but the trenches often were hidden. #2 is a ridiculous hole. 125 yds uphill Par 3. Hit my iron well, landed it right where I thought it would be good, in front of the green. But then it rolled all the way to the back of the green. When the green is that high, there is little vertical drop for the ball to "fall", instead it has too much horizontal velocity and runs. The porta-potties were FULL at #12 (?), and I mean FULL!

I didn't mind the work going on. Shows they were keeping the course up, or even upgrading.

A GREAT way to upgrade would be to put CULVERTS in to replace the many trenches, cover them with soil and grass. A slight mound to carry is very different than a trench you cannot see from the tee box.

Drove over an hour to play there as I heard it was a great course. Doubt I will return.
