Palms at Palm-Aire Country Club
About
The Palms Golf Course is a tract that locals and visitors alike just love to play. Originally designed by William Mitchell in 1962, the Palms was completely renovated by Karl Litton and Lorie Viola in 1996.
The accommodating fairways make it easier to hit your tee shots in play. Once on the 'dance floor', the Bermuda greens roll true and quick.
The Palms Course has a number of picturesque water hazards. As its name would indicate, the Palms features lovely native Palm trees throughout the course.
It is most definitely a true Florida golf course and one, which everybody should put on their 'must play' list .

Greens we’re not in great shape. Sand patches all over the greens.

The course was Probably in the worst condition I’ve here in a couple years.
Have played this coarse in the past and loved it, unfortunately the greens were terrible this year. Wish I could send you the picture we took of the greens. Patched, irrigated and diseased! Very disappointed. The only reason I said I would recommend this coarse is because I’ve played it in the past
Great day with the guys
Played a great round of golf with the guys. It had been a while since we were all together. Wind was howling 18-25 mph. Course was in good shape. Some greens needed work. There were more ant mounds than I would have thought for a golf course. The staff was very friendly. Overall course was better than average. I would recommend playing it again.
Play Oaks or Cypress instread
I was so upset when I realized I accidentally booked the Palms. Crap course compared to the other 2 courses. Not worth playing even of it was free
Embarrassing
The price for this course is awful , considering it is in terrible shape. Should be closed until they can get it in a respectable condition. Greens were horrendous, fairways were not so good and the rough is nothing but weeds. Don’t waste your time or money.
Greens are in bad shape.
Greens are in bad shape. A lot of bald spots. Recently aerated and sanded. Certain fairways are in bad shape too. Some trees are very over grown with branches all the way down to ground. No beverage cart on a Saturday.
Pretty good
Greens had some brown spots, but overall the course is in very good shape. Challenging lay out, and very long.
Not bad for 30 bucks, some of the greens had some real bad spots on them and some fairways needed some tending..but we were the only ones on the course so it wasn't that bad..
The greens were pretty bad shape, lots of dead patches.. The fairways weren't the best but ok, some sand traps were good and some sucked...This time of year it's a good 30 dollar course.
You Get What You Pay For!
Extremely fair fees and available tee times because…….course in horrible condition, cart paths like Beirut, zero amenities.
Was a good course
This was a good course, 20 years ago. This course has not been maintained well. It appears they may be trying to improve, but unsuccessfully. The staff was rude and inconsiderate, they turned the sprinklers on while we were on the hole. Soaking us and our carts and clubs. When we asked the employee why, he stated we parked in front of the sprinklers and it was our fault.
It was okay
The greens had bad spots on them which made it difficult for a decent put. The starter was a young man with not very good manners. Everyone else there was pretty friendly. The cart paths are broken with tons of potholes.
Great value course
Tee boxes were below average, fairways were average, greens were great when they weren’t spotty, but half of the greens were spotty (mini sand areas in the greens, lack of grass spots with only dirt.
No cart lady, but a great bar with food at the turn. A maintenance workers turned on the sprinklers at hole 5+6 and completely drenched the greens at 9:30 just as we were arriving to the holes and made the greens slower than a carpet and made the ground mushy. As the greens dried up through the day they got way faster so it started to become difficult to gauge.
Shop staff and outside staff were amazing. Made me feel like I was at a much more expensive place. They seemed to really like being at their job
For $45 at a 8:30 start I would say this is a great value course for the area, but don’t expect grade A conditions (also I was told they would be aerating the greens after Memorial Day weekend)
