About
The Palms Golf Course is a tract that locals and visitors alike just love to play. Originally designed by William Mitchell in 1962, the Palms was completely renovated by Karl Litton and Lorie Viola in 1996.
The accommodating fairways make it easier to hit your tee shots in play. Once on the 'dance floor', the Bermuda greens roll true and quick.
The Palms Course has a number of picturesque water hazards. As its name would indicate, the Palms features lovely native Palm trees throughout the course.
It is most definitely a true Florida golf course and one, which everybody should put on their 'must play' list .

Enjoyable Course, Friendly Staff
The course is somewhat long for me from the white tees,( about 6,350 yards). The next shorter tees are about 5,500 yards. Fairways okay, greens okay, but neither in country-club type shape. Some streams crossing fairways, but no forced carries. I played in the later afternoon, paid about $20.00. Overall, a good value.
One of Three
I have played this course a lot and enjoy the diversity of the three courses at Palm Aire. The greens here were done I think in 2013 and were the best around. They are still in very good shape but the fairways have deteriorated. Ground is hard, grass very short and many bare spots. Ball does not sit up on fairway.
We have had a lot of rain and I have played many other courses in the area, to include the other two Palm Aire courses, which dont have this problem so I am confused as to why it is in this condition. Hopefully they will return it to what it used to be, a very nice, challenging, fun to play course. Still, a good course to play and enjoy. Staff friendly. Need rangers out there at times for some slow groups.
Basic Course with Few Surprises
Booked online for about $24 (including cart). Pro shop staff was a bit slow - one person working - so there was a line of people checking in when I arrived. The bag drop station was a bit disorganized - took a while to collect bags and forgot to give us cart keys after we checked in. Driving range was off grass this day. Several foursomes kind of flooded the tee box all at once, but we did start pretty much right on time. Tee boxes were in good shape and mostly level, as were the fairways. Greens a touch slow, but rolled well. Ice/water dispenser at the clubhouse, and available at the turn. Not much serious trouble, so the pace moved along without too much delay other than once or twice. This won't make your favorites list, but its a good course at a reasonable price and an easy drive from the Ft Lauderdale coastline.
Great Course
Love this course! Its a great value and in great shape! The greens had a lot of sand on them which made it hard to read and execute your putts, but still a great place to play.

Nice open course.
The course was in great condition. The greens were very nice even though it's been very hot and dry. Love to play here. Price is right. The only gripe I have is the beverage cart made it to our foursome 1 time on the front 9. It was afternoon by the time we're on the back 9 and it was brutally hot and we could have used more hydration.

Thanks for your comments, we always aspire to make sure each golfer has what they need and refreshments are a vital part of surviving summer here in South Florida. We hope you'll give us another try and let us know before you go out that you'll be looking for the bev cart. The Starter can tip the attendant off you'll be looking to hydrate!
A Good Round of Golf at a Fair Price
The course was great for getting out there and playing a nice round. Great staff, fair accommodations, and good conditions.

I really like this course
This is a great round of golf. I love the layout and the length. I have not had a chance to play the cypress or the oaks courses but have to imagine that they are in the same shape as this one which is awesome! The grounds crew do a great job of keeping the condition pristine. Smooth greens that played pretty straight and everything was well cared for. If you have not played here before don't hesitate, well worth it!!
Good Value
I like this course. It is playable for the average golfer, with few or no forced carries. Greens roll fine but are the undulating makes them a challenge. Fairways not perfect but in fairly good shape. Best thing: the staff is helpful, friendly.
Excellent course for a relaxing day of golf.
Nice facility. Great place for relaxing golf. No one is pressuring you to play faster or complains when you hit your ball onto the wrong fairway. Haha

My group teed off about 7:20 , the greens were great and the rest of the course was very acceptable.

no beer cart
There was absolutely no beverage cart for the whole 18 holes!!!!
Great value and course
I was pleasantly surprised by the staff friendliness and the overall condition of the course. Course greens and fairways are in great condition. Pace of play was quick. I would recommend to anyone looking to play a course they have never played before.
Needs maintenance
Played this course at a time of year when when weather likely contributed to the conditions. Fairways were very hard, cut short and bare in spots. Greens were best part of the course but still not great. Not the quality of a Clublink course that I have come to expect.
Golf-A great way to meet new people.
Arrived early. Quite busy but curteous staff assured us all would go smoothly. We went off a few minutes late and were coupled with a Canadian couple, he spoke English and she did not. They were fun and the language thing went by the boards. I like a fast playing style and they were certainly that. We had a good day on a course that was well maintained. Will i play there again? You bet. The hostess at the 19th Hole was a charming lady from Wisconsin. A great day spent with new friends.
