Palms at Palm-Aire Country Club
About
The Palms Golf Course is a tract that locals and visitors alike just love to play. Originally designed by William Mitchell in 1962, the Palms was completely renovated by Karl Litton and Lorie Viola in 1996.
The accommodating fairways make it easier to hit your tee shots in play. Once on the 'dance floor', the Bermuda greens roll true and quick.
The Palms Course has a number of picturesque water hazards. As its name would indicate, the Palms features lovely native Palm trees throughout the course.
It is most definitely a true Florida golf course and one, which everybody should put on their 'must play' list .

Nice course
Nice course, shame about the eastern bloc style condo's lining it.
Nice Course
Not a lot of water. good course to have some fun with family
Nice wide fairways
Second time I've played this course - great value - good contrition went round in 3 hours

Nice course! Will play again! Played a different course a day later and regretted the choice. Should have come back to the Palms.
good for the money
Good course for the money. If you are playing well you can take a low number on this course. Greens in good shape and don't break too much making scoring straightforward. If this course had a few more bunkers the scoring would be more difficult but it's a fun course to play.
Resonable price
Rental Clubs very expensive. I booked a special rate through gn.
Great course
Great course, facility was nice as well as staff, only thing missing was a refreshment cart.
Palms course
Palm course - A nice course, slightly boring, few hazards water limited, a couple of narrow fairways, large sized greens. Rental clubs were very good new, clean full set of 2014 taylormade but at $55 the course lets itself down as this was more than the $35 green fee. Decent putting green, fairways ok, greens ok, sand traps average - if you are a low handicap you can shoot low here the greens were receptive to good approaches - I hit at least 7-8 shots to 10-12 feet. My handicap is 10-11 and if i had a good putting day could easily have shot 75 here. A good course for mid to higher handicappers or those low handicappers looking for a low round but for those seeking a premium challenging course with features look elsewhere.
needs an update
The facilities are old, and the course shows the wear and tear of an inexpensive option. The greens are in good shape, but fairways, rough, and tee-boxes all need to be updated. Some bunkers have been left alone to become waste bunkers, but the ones that gaurd the greens are in better shape than I thought they would be. I went into the round thinking about joining the membership option for the three courses on the property, but more than likely will not be playing here again. Heron Bay is a much better option for around the same pricing, even if it is more expensive.
Expecting More
I was in Florida for a few days and wanted to play a round near where I was staying in Fort Lauderdale at a reasonable price. Based on the reviews, I chose here. A pretty straight forward course except some of the pin positions were ridiculous. There was a lot of water but there was always an out. You weren't really ever forced to hit a good shot. The greens had been sanded and were in average shape at best. Overall the course was just not in as good of shape as I expected. Also, driving range was mats only. Yardage markers were scarce. Can't say I would recommend, but it was passable for the price.
Very fun course in great shape
First time playin here and found it very enjoyable. The course is laid out nicely and has some challenging holes while still providing scoring opportunities. There are some tricky water hazards, best to lay up and not try to be a hero unless you can carry 275 in the air. Greens were in good shape and fairways well kept as well. My only complaint would be that the carts were not equipped with gps, and there is no gps app for your smart phone on the clubs homepage. We teed off at 7:50 and had a good pace of play. I would recommend an early start because when we made the turn after 9, there were probably 4 foursomes stacked up waiting to start. All in all, great course and good play. And thanks to golfnow we got a great deal!
Nice course.
Enjoy playing this course. Great deal. Back 9 tuff !! Will play it again.
Great value.
Course was in great condition. Greens were in great shape.
Very nice track.,.
I played The Palms which was very nice. The greens and fairways were well tended. The course has a nice layout as well. I enjoyed the round.
Palms at Palm Aire
The greens are in better shape than I expected. The fairways were weedy. No golf cart GPS which I come to expect when playing a course in the plus $40 range.
Green
Love it had a great time, I recommend this course to anyone.
Palm Aire Oaks
Course is in good condition. Greens have been recently aerated so will play much nicer in a couple of weeks. Very good value for the money this time of year. Would recommend!!
Vacation golf
The course played fast both because it is pretty straightforward through most holes and because at 745 on the Monday morning we played, there wasn't a ton going on in front of us. Some slightly challenging holes, mostly where the hazards/OB channelled the course narrowly and laterally down both right and left, as well as some well placed water. Fairways were in good condition most places, but some areas had overgrown crabgrass right in the middle. Greens were in quite good shape, although there wasn't much undulation. The staff was nice and they packed my clubs into and out of my cart and scrubbed them, which is always a nice touch. Range let you hit off the grass, but you could tell they hadn't moved their ropes in a while, there was almost no grass. For 25 bucks with a cart, overall a pretty good experience for the casual golfer or someone seeking a course that isn't going to take all their balls. For those elitists/purists, there consider other options.
Good Value
Palm Aire Palms is a nicer course than Pompano Nicklas course and less expensive. Also, even on a beautiful Sunday morning, it was only slightly busy and the pace of play for 4 was swift.
Very nice course
Nice course...very true greens a bit fast which is good. I plan to go back
