Palms at Palm-Aire Country Club
About
The Palms Golf Course is a tract that locals and visitors alike just love to play. Originally designed by William Mitchell in 1962, the Palms was completely renovated by Karl Litton and Lorie Viola in 1996.
The accommodating fairways make it easier to hit your tee shots in play. Once on the 'dance floor', the Bermuda greens roll true and quick.
The Palms Course has a number of picturesque water hazards. As its name would indicate, the Palms features lovely native Palm trees throughout the course.
It is most definitely a true Florida golf course and one, which everybody should put on their 'must play' list .

Very nice course
Nice course...very true greens a bit fast which is good. I plan to go back
Fabulous Time
My first time playing this course. Even though we had to wait on a few holes, the pace of play was good. We actually finished 18 in 4 hours and 10 minutes. Want to return to play the other 2 courses. Weather was wonderful. Could not have dreamed of a more perfect day. Even finished with a par on 18!!
needs improvement
Golf Course overbooked took me 5 hours to play a round of golf was waiting on every ti of waiting on every fairway to hit on to the green Ranger came across twice told us that he was sorry he had told the people in front of us to speed up to me this is not acceptable I like to play a round of golf in 3 hours course was in fairly good shape greens were in real good shape but they were slowsome places in the fairways relax and grass need more water but otherwise the facility was in very good shape Halfpenny refreshments plenty of bathrooms Coldwater Michigan Sheen's and coke machines in the middle very very good course yes I would play again
The Palm
Not bad for the $ I would play it again. Greens are new, hard and slow..
great course
this course was in good condition. The greens are in very good condition. The course was also challenging but not difficult. This was a fun course to play and I will definitely play it again.
Great course for an relaxing round
I took my friend for his first time golfing here, and everyone was very courteous. We played 9 holes (no 9 hole pricing, unfortunately) in 2 hours and 10 minutes, playing best ball, with him teeing up every shot except for putts. Would highly recommend as a great round to start off your golfing in the Ft. Lauderdale area!
Les verts étaient très beau mais passablement lent
un des terrains à jouer si vous êtes dans les environs
Beau terrain, mal entretenu
besoin d'un peu de rafraîchisement; les tertres de départ n'ont presque plus de verdure.Les chemins pour les carts sont cahoteux et des gens se promènent avec leur chien sur la terrain.
Good enough to keep coming back
I found out from the pair we were teamed up with that they renovated the course last year. It explains the greens being in very good shape. We try to get out early in the day and we always see the maintenance crew when we do. They are working hard on this course which is great to see. Greens are an 8, Fairways 9, Bunkers 9. I hate it when the bunkers are in bad shape because I always struggle when its muddy, clumpy or just poorly maintained. As challenging as some of these bunkers are, I can always get out in one because they are consistent. You just don't see that with public courses.
I love this course even more than Mighty Oaks because it seems to be a touch more challenging (I haven't played Cypress yet). In any event, you can't go wrong at Palm Aire.
Only negatives are the usual pace of play. Nobody monitors pace of play (at least often enough) so bad golfers have slowed us down a few times here and they need to do something about the 19th hole. C'mon, all that square footage and all they have a sandwiches in cling-wrap?
What a great golf course
We really enjoyed the layout of this course. Greens are in fantastic condition. It is very challenging but now overwhelming for good golfers we will definitely play it again.
very forgiving to the slicer, but their is a lot of water
very good course for the beginer.you get practice of all your shots
Nice course
Course was in good shape. Greens were nice a little difficult for me to read. Enjoyed the day with my friends. Could have used a marshal to have group in front of us to pick up the pace. They were 2 holes behind group in front of them.
Super Slow
If the pace of play was any slower I still be there came to the second tee and there were three foursomes waiting never saw a ranger all day long didn't finish the round just got worn out waiting
Good gf course
Nothing else
Good condition of the fairways
The service was excellent
The weather was excellent
Slow pace of play
I was going to play 18, but it took 2 hrs45 min for 9 holes. We waited at every shot. They were starting a group every 7 minutes.
Condo golf
Course was in good cond Greens were a little slow but rolling nice. Overall a good experience
Good value for money
I was in Pompano Beach on vacation and wanted a place to play golf that wasn't too difficult as I hadn't played since Oct. After checking on line I thought Palm Aire Golf(Palms course) sounded like a good deal at about $45.00 for 18 holes/cart. I was paired up with two other guys that were wintering in Pompano and had a great time. The pace of play was great at 8am (3 1/2 hrs). The greens were in decent shape but a little slow. I thought the fairways were in fair condition. I would play there again if in the area.
Always a challenge
Only problem is that I am a 6,000 to 6,100 yard player, and there are no tees between 6,350 and 5,580 yards. I played the longer and had few par 4's within 2-shot reach. My choice, and the course is still at the top of my list.
Course in Great Condition
Course in in great shape and staff very friendly. Great Value!
