Palms at Palm-Aire Country Club
About
The Palms Golf Course is a tract that locals and visitors alike just love to play. Originally designed by William Mitchell in 1962, the Palms was completely renovated by Karl Litton and Lorie Viola in 1996.
The accommodating fairways make it easier to hit your tee shots in play. Once on the 'dance floor', the Bermuda greens roll true and quick.
The Palms Course has a number of picturesque water hazards. As its name would indicate, the Palms features lovely native Palm trees throughout the course.
It is most definitely a true Florida golf course and one, which everybody should put on their 'must play' list .

Poor customer service and awful greens on the Palms
At the Palms clubhouse, the employees were more interested in each other and sharing stories and getting their coffee than even greeting us when we walked in and the bag boy should have stayed home as it seemed that we were interferring with something that he would have rather been doing , not a good morning, not a smile, nothing! We bought a bucket of balls but found the range was full so 4 of us had to share one spot to warm up. Tee boxes were good, 8 out of 10 rating, fairways the same or better, 8 or 9 out of 10 but the greens.......terrible, 3 out of 10. Weeds, mounds, bumps everywhere and the edges of the hole were awful. I'm a high handicap player and dont usually complain but this was bad.
this course is complete and fun
I played the day before a tournament so found the course a beauty.
Course is in so-so condition
Fairways were fine, but greens need to be repaired. The course plays very fast. Not the most challenging layout but great deal for $20.
Palms is a fun course
Good for the novice or more experienced player. Greens need some serious work but course is in good condition otherwise.
good fairways greens in bad shape
nice course to play but the greens in poor condition
Greens are terrible. Very bad shape.
Greens are terrible. Very bad shape. St Augustine growing in patches throughout and patches of sand on every green
Palms vs Oaks
The greens of Palms are in poor shape, with crab grass-type outgrowths affecting your ball's roll.
The Oaks is in better shape and, in a few places, allows you to believe you're in New England.
Course is very forgiving, however Greens need plenty of work
Overall the morning was very delightful. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, however, the Greens need plenty of work.
Fun course and good value
Challenging course with variety - greens a little rough. Enjoyed the round and certainly a good value. Driving range didn't open till after my early tee time - so that was a downer.
Great layout
Challenging par 4's. Great layout. Good value for the money.
Greens need major overhaul.
LOTS OF WEEDS AND BROWN SPOT ON GREENS
HAVE NOT PLAYED HER FOR YEARS, SINCE I WAS A MEMBER OF PALMAIRE.THIS COURSE IS IN THE WORST
SHAPE I HAVE EVER SEEN, LOTS OF WEEDS ON GREENS
WILL NEVER PLAY THERE AGAIN.
The greens were in terrible shape - definitely needs attention!
The overall course layout was well designed, if it wasn't for the condition of the greens, I will definitely recommend this golf course. Make sure you call and ask for the conditons of the greens, before you set-up a tee time.
