Palms at Palm-Aire Country Club
About
The Palms Golf Course is a tract that locals and visitors alike just love to play. Originally designed by William Mitchell in 1962, the Palms was completely renovated by Karl Litton and Lorie Viola in 1996.
The accommodating fairways make it easier to hit your tee shots in play. Once on the 'dance floor', the Bermuda greens roll true and quick.
The Palms Course has a number of picturesque water hazards. As its name would indicate, the Palms features lovely native Palm trees throughout the course.
It is most definitely a true Florida golf course and one, which everybody should put on their 'must play' list .

Do not Play the Palms at Palm Aire
The greens were a little slow but well maintained. The rest of the course was a cow pasture. It is too bad as this was a good layout. Even the tee boxes were in bad shape. The Oaks was in somewhat better condition, so i would play that course instead.
OVER PRICED / OVER LOOKED
I don’t usually leave reviews, but the condition of this course is honestly unacceptable. The fairways are in terrible shape, with large dead patches, dirt spots, and barely any consistent grass coverage. It feels more like hitting off a worn-out field than an actual golf course.
Around the greens isn’t any better. The turf is uneven, thin, and full of bare spots, which makes it impossible to get any kind of consistent lie. You’re basically guessing how the ball is going to react every time. For a place that’s supposed to be maintained for golf, this is really disappointing.
Even basic areas like cart paths and surrounding grounds look neglected, with sand, debris, and worn-out edges everywhere. It just gives off the impression that upkeep is not a priority at all.
Overall, this course is nowhere near the standard it should be.
Nice course
My boyfriend and I came to this course after a cruise and really had a great time. The course was in excellent shape. I would recommend it to anyone who chooses to play here.
Good value for the money
Decent layout, course conditions were good, fast greens, tee boxes need work and some boxes were on a downhill slant and unlevel. Starter (Jim) had no interaction with our group and no mention of pin placements. Never saw a marshall, we were on the group in front of us and had to wait on all tee boxes.
Nice layout, fairways and greens are good
The fairways and tee were nice. the tee boxes need a bit of work. There were three or four tee boxes that had tilted stances on a hill. Never saw any staff. Never saw any cart girls. It’s a pace of play was fair at 4 1/2 hours.
The course is in good shape
Course in good shape. Unfortunately some golfers don’t keep up with the group in front of
Good pace of play
Played in 4:05 on a weekend! Course was in the best shape all year. Tee boxes need a little work.
Good golf day
Nice group to play with and good pace of play: 4:10 . Weather was perfect.
Very slow pace of play
The group ahead of us were very slow. We had to wait 10 mins for every hole. They claimed they were playing a tournament but did not hurry up as everyone behind them were waiting.
Tee boxes average, fairways in good condition minus the fact Florida golfers don’t care to fix their divots. Greens were in very good shape.
At the turn a threesome jumped in front of us and proceeded to drive the pace of play to a snails pace. Once two fairways opened in front of them I drove up to them and gave them the options of skipping a hole to catch up or I would hit into them off the next tee. Never hand anymore issues with pace. Don’t be afraid to be the Marshall when inconsiderate players take the course.
Tee boxes were in average shape, definitely playable. Fairways were all in good condition but like most courses here, players don’t fix or fill their divots. All the greens were in good shape.
A threesome jumped in front of us at the turn that was dead slow, taking multiple drops per hole per player and made no attempt to keep up with the group in front of them. With two fairways open in front of them and play stacking up behind, i couldn’t take it anymore so i pulled up and informed them and address the issue. I gave them the choice of skipping the next two holes to catch up or waiting and allowing groups to play through. Pace picked up immediately and no issues the rest of the day.
