Oak Valley Golf Club

I've played Oak Vally many times and have never been disappointed. This round was no different except for the fact I played with Ta, maintenance and Hogan, Assistant Pro. They were the perfect hosts and let me see the course in a new light. I will be back soon.

This golf course was in excellent conditions from tee to green.

Oak Valley golf Club is a 5 star course.

First time playing there. My friend Eric and I booked a twosome for afternoon. We got paired with two guys. Started around 2:00pm and finished around 6:15pm. Suggest using yardage books, digital devices and local knowledge if available for course layout. Lots of hidden creeks and ponds not in view from the tee. Greens were in good shape. Will play again. Good value.

We have not played here in a while. Course was in good shape and was fun to play. Unfortunately we had a foursome in front of us that thought they were playing the PGA and took forever to get off the Tee Box and green.

This was a nice course to play. Course was in great shape and very challenging with lots of trouble to get into with wayward shots. I finished my round on a Tuesday in 4 hours. I love Arnold Palmer designs and this did not disappoint. ROUND WAS $40 ON Golf Now but they only charged me $32 because I qualified for their senior rate which was a first for me. Definately worth my 1 1/2 hour drive from Charlotte.

Routing of holes is pretty bland but a good job of desiging each hole. What I mean by that is each hole is a little different but there is no overall flow. You feel like you're just playing around at a municipal.

You have to be able to carry the ball to good measurements because of forced carry over hazards. I personally love that as I'm a high ball flight/low spin player but if you can't fly the ball with ease you'll struggle get on the green.

Greens were rolling very well. The course spends time not just maintaining the grass on the greens but all around it as well. It seems like the greens are the focal point. with the bunkering, landscaping, cart pathing around...very well planned out greens.

Hole 1 and Hole 10 has over seeding and extra fairway maintenance I guess to give you great first impression but the rest of the fairways are good, just not as great as these first two.

Played here for the first time yesterday, and the conditions were immaculate. Course is well maintained, a lot of fun from hole to hole with all the textbook North Carolina elevation changes. The course has wide fairways, huge greens, and its fair share of bunkers and hazards from fairway to green. Liked it so much that I didn't even get through maybe 10 holes before booking another round for the very next day lol.

Pace of play was really slow, but I was told that day's pace was a complete anomaly compared to the usual pace. It does have a range and a big putting green too. Course marshall and staff were very friendly and helpful. Great find of a course, especially for the price ($40 for a full round).

Greens were excellent, fairways still coming out, some tees could use some work, but overall in good condition. Had t wait on every shot on front nine, but picked up on the back. Wish they had a marshal, but that’s true everywhere. Good track

Took a little while to check us in, but staff was super friendly. Great golf course, some blind tee shots which was probably the issue for pace of play.. 4.5 hours.

A little understaffed in the kitchen, which was an issue at the turn and again at the end of the round, so ended up eating elsewhere.

Excellent course in very good condition..

One of my favorite courses in the area. Great value, layout, course conditions and amenities.

Course need some work! Greens have not recovered yet from the recent Airafacation putting is no fun at this time! Tea boxes could use a lot more grass they are looking pretty rough. Overall course layout is very interesting and fun. If I played this course again hopefully the conditions will be better because I enjoyed the layout!

I'm so tired of GN not showing aerification warning for the golf course. The greens were covered with sand as it had only been 5 days since they punched and top dressed. We asked for a discount, but was told that the golf course had reported it to GN on Tuesday. The course does not reduced their price for aerification.

The starter did not have us on the tee sheet and wanted to see a receipt. The cashier in the golf shop said we wouldn't need one, so there was a "tiff" at the first tee as the starter thought we were trying to play for free.

Will not be going back to OV and I now know that I can't trust GN for the alerts, so I might as well call the course and make the tee time wherever I'm paying.. That way I can ask.

The pace of play was painfully slow on Monday. It was very windy and still pretty wet. There were also a lot of walkers on the course in front of me. Can’t wait to play it again!

The pace of play was on me, I played as a single and it was carts on path so it can only be so quick. The course was wet from all the weather but little to no problem areas on the course that I saw. Greens were in good shape and still very quick. Rough is still dead and matted a bit so there aren’t many bad lies to be found, Texas wedge players will enjoy the areas around the greens right now for sure!

I love this layout, it’s challenging but not punishing although there are some don’t miss there areas. I played a half dozen times last year and I’ll be back at least that many more this year!
