About
Oak Valley Golf Club boasts the only Arnold Palmer-designed course in the Winston-Salem area. The course sprawls across what used to be old dairy farmland, nestled in the North Carolina foothills. Palmer utilized the rolling, wooded terrain and transformed the site into one of the Triad’s most scenic golf courses. The layout presents many challenges, including strategically placed sand traps along the undulating greens. You will also come across a fair amount of water hazards throughout the golf course. Palmer, known for his "go for broke" playing style, incorporated several interesting risk-reward holes and it has become what the course is known for. Good drives will be generously rewarded while an errant shot will make it tough to even get a bogey. Oak Valley Golf Club is a favorite among local golfers.

Great course, slow play
Course is in great shape and greens rolled true. Round was almost 5 hrs due to slow play in the group ahead of us. Will be back but they’re have to get this under control.
This is a great course, but the greens were not completely cured from the plugging. Wouldn't recommend playing for another week or two.
Just plugged greens
Plugged the greens about a week ago. Course was in great shape besides the greens. Front nine was ok and relatively playable. Back nine greens were not playable at all - way too much sand. Disappointed given the amount paid. Wait a little longer to play.
Good Course, A Little Disorganized Getting Started!
Always enjoy playing Oak Valley, friendly staff and the online discounted tee time rate was great. Course was in good shape for late summer conditions.
My only suggestion would be for the course to have a starter helping everyone get started, we had 2 different singles that showed up on the tee while we were trying to tee off and wanted to play ahead of us but not pair with each other.
My feelings are if you play golf expect to get paired up with someone else, that’s part of the experience!
Great course
Course and Greens are in great condition. This is a challenging course , but a nice layout. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!
Awesome layout
Awesome layout and in nice condition. It has rained a few consecutive days, but given that, the course was still in excellent condition. Greens were quick but fair. Fairways generous and rough was reasonable. Great course designed by the “The King”. Will be back on our next trip to WS!
Another Great Palmer Golf Course
Beautiful fairways and greens. I can always count on Arnold Palmer courses to be impeccable and this one is to be added to the list.
Enjoyable Round
Greens in good shape but a little slow. Fairways and tees excellent and now rough has thickened up. Good test. Went around with little delay in less than 4 hours.
Great Course
Pace of play was a little slower today. But course was in good condition and greens rolling true! Staff was very friendly and accommodating!
Oak valley is a top tier golf course and is better than most top tier courses during the spring/summer and fall
