About
Oak Valley Golf Club boasts the only Arnold Palmer-designed course in the Winston-Salem area. The course sprawls across what used to be old dairy farmland, nestled in the North Carolina foothills. Palmer utilized the rolling, wooded terrain and transformed the site into one of the Triad’s most scenic golf courses. The layout presents many challenges, including strategically placed sand traps along the undulating greens. You will also come across a fair amount of water hazards throughout the golf course. Palmer, known for his "go for broke" playing style, incorporated several interesting risk-reward holes and it has become what the course is known for. Good drives will be generously rewarded while an errant shot will make it tough to even get a bogey. Oak Valley Golf Club is a favorite among local golfers.

Golfer Reviews
Good track
Greens in excellent shape, and fairways and tees as well. Play was a bit slow and they were behind on starting by about 15 minutes .
Definitely need more course knowledge to score well. Leaving your tee shot in the correct place is a must. Some force carries but a very enjoyable and challenging course that I will be playing again.
Great experience!
Thoroughly enjoyed today’s round as the entire course was in the best condition I’ve ever seen it!
Great condition for a public course
As good as it gets for a public course. Greens were kept up great. It’s not like they were crazy fast but they rolled straight and didn’t have an obnoxious amount of ball marks. Facilities are nice and the layout is pretty fun.
Rough needs to be shorter
I had some very good shots today and couldn’t find my ball because the rough was so tall
Great course, slow play
Course is in great shape and greens rolled true. Round was almost 5 hrs due to slow play in the group ahead of us. Will be back but they’re have to get this under control.
This is a great course, but the greens were not completely cured from the plugging. Wouldn't recommend playing for another week or two.
