Oak Valley Golf Club boasts the only Arnold Palmer-designed course in the Winston-Salem area. The course sprawls across what used to be old dairy farmland, nestled in the North Carolina foothills. Palmer utilized the rolling, wooded terrain and transformed the site into one of the Triad’s most scenic golf courses. The layout presents many challenges, including strategically placed sand traps along the undulating greens. You will also come across a fair amount of water hazards throughout the golf course. Palmer, known for his "go for broke" playing style, incorporated several interesting risk-reward holes and it has become what the course is known for. Good drives will be generously rewarded while an errant shot will make it tough to even get a bogey. Oak Valley Golf Club is a favorite among local golfers.

Molasses PACE!

May be better when summer greens it up, but Fairways and Rough were all dormant yellow and mowed almost bare. Tee'd off at 2:30 and barely finished before dark.

best course in the triad

hands down the best course in the triad. not only is it very well maintained, but in partnering with 'golfnow' the value is exponentially increased. Not only that, but an extra special kudos to Oak Valley as well as Golfnow in letting us know beforehand that the course was recently aerated. We appreciate very much in this particular disclosure before we booked the tee time. Oak Valley is our favorite course within a 50 mile radius from home. TOP NOTCH

Still a great course

I havent played this course in over 10 years and to finally go back out there and play. I instantly remembered how fun this course is. Beautiful layout with some great hole which are challenging and fun. The one thing that hasn't changed is the fact that their greens are still slow.

Golfnow friendly

I was wondering how the staff would react to a 1 person voucher from golfnow. No issues, they were friendly and paired me up with a great group. Great day overall!

The course is really a nice layout, but we played during the winter and the course was in poor condition.

We really liked the layout and enjoyed the nice views. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The clubhouse and practice areas are nice as well. However, the conditions of the course were in very poor condition. We played during the winter, in which our expectations weren't that high, but they still were not met. There was water everywhere on the course and several of the holes were swampy. The bunkers were not maintained at all, and some were small ponds or mud holes. Lastly, the greens weren't in pristine condition. They were fairly slow and somewhat bumpy. We would play again, but only if it was during the summer and the course was maintained better.
