Oak Valley Golf Club

Booked through GolfNow and paid with a credit card. One person had an emergency and did not show for the tee time. I asked nicely for a raincheck, since I had paid already through GolfNow. Very rude response, so I went and played. The more I thought about the fact that I paid the golf course, thus requesting a raincheck for a no show simply was not a hard decision since I would come back with the player and PAY again for 3 other golfers. I will not be back, I will not bring 3 other golfers, and I will tell anyone that wants to listen about my experience. I have not gotten a response from GolfNow either. Any response is appreciated.

I really like this course, but they were a bit off their mark this day. Greens were beat up pretty badly with ball marks (admittedly not entirely the course's fault). But the rough was ridiculous. Anything off the fairway and you had a 50/50 chance at best of even finding the ball. That's just unreasonable for 'amateur' golf.

Had a nice time. Course was in good shape and pace of play was good.

Played Saturday afternoon, hardly anybody on the course, Was able to maneuver through 18 pretty quickly. The greens were a little rough, but it can happen on any course. The fairways were beautiful and the layout was challenging. I will play here again

Great course I hate I've never taken the time to visit before today. Layout was great my partner was great and the staff was great. My only knocks against this course is I never saw a cart girl and too many people do not replace their divots which ultimately would be a problem for the course.

This course is well kept and fun. Bent grass greens in pretty good shape especially considering it’s summer time. Some ball marks but that’s because people are not always considerate golfers. I recommend this course to anyone that asks.

The course was in great shape for the middle of the summer. Nothing was burned out. The greens were a little slow, but that is understandable this time of year the temps were in the 90’s. It was top rate in just about every respect.

Only two very minor issues. First was the 15th tee had new sod put in not long ago forcing all play to the forward tee. This changed the hole from a par 5 to a par 4. Second thing was the cart had water trapped inside the roof. It was a bit odd to listen to it slosh around when driving.

Neither of these issues would keep me from playing this course.

Bottom line. If you’re in the Triad area. Play Oak Valley you won’t regret it.

Hot and dry but course is in good shape. Player friendly, with mostly wide fairways and large greens , but you get to use all the clubs in the bag. Always enjoyable.

Great course,staff,etc...However, Was a single playing around 2pm. Several groups were held up by a 4some (which included a walker) the entire day. No thought of letting the smaller,faster group/s (playing behind them) through..Not really a reflection on a great course but be prepared for a lengthy round. This was a Wednesday. Not a weekend..A ranger could perhaps help speed things along. The 4some appeared to be members as well..
