About
Oak Valley Golf Club boasts the only Arnold Palmer-designed course in the Winston-Salem area. The course sprawls across what used to be old dairy farmland, nestled in the North Carolina foothills. Palmer utilized the rolling, wooded terrain and transformed the site into one of the Triad’s most scenic golf courses. The layout presents many challenges, including strategically placed sand traps along the undulating greens. You will also come across a fair amount of water hazards throughout the golf course. Palmer, known for his "go for broke" playing style, incorporated several interesting risk-reward holes and it has become what the course is known for. Good drives will be generously rewarded while an errant shot will make it tough to even get a bogey. Oak Valley Golf Club is a favorite among local golfers.

Hidden Gem
This course is truly a hidden gem! Friendly staff and membership, course was in great shape given the hot, dry weather that we have had lately, and the greens have recovered nicely from the recent aerification. Enjoy!
Aways a good day!
This track is wonderful! Had a blast. Tour-quality fairways. Rough is tough but fair. Hit is were you are supposed to and you can score don't and you will be punished. A course I love to play again and again.
Course Care
The course was in the worst condition that I've ever seen it in. The fairways were in good condition, but if you missed the fairways, you would lose the golf ball, the first cut was 3" thick, and more than that in places. The greens were very slow, but the rough was the worst part of the round. They need to get the course back in the condition it's usually in.

Track is playing tough! The rough is high! The fairways are tour quality. This course is one of my favorites. Great design, great condition, great day.
Raincheck policy unawares
Booked through GolfNow and paid with a credit card. One person had an emergency and did not show for the tee time. I asked nicely for a raincheck, since I had paid already through GolfNow. Very rude response, so I went and played. The more I thought about the fact that I paid the golf course, thus requesting a raincheck for a no show simply was not a hard decision since I would come back with the player and PAY again for 3 other golfers. I will not be back, I will not bring 3 other golfers, and I will tell anyone that wants to listen about my experience. I have not gotten a response from GolfNow either. Any response is appreciated.
Not their best showing
I really like this course, but they were a bit off their mark this day. Greens were beat up pretty badly with ball marks (admittedly not entirely the course's fault). But the rough was ridiculous. Anything off the fairway and you had a 50/50 chance at best of even finding the ball. That's just unreasonable for 'amateur' golf.
Friendly staff, good conditions.
Had a nice time. Course was in good shape and pace of play was good.
