About
Oak Valley Golf Club boasts the only Arnold Palmer-designed course in the Winston-Salem area. The course sprawls across what used to be old dairy farmland, nestled in the North Carolina foothills. Palmer utilized the rolling, wooded terrain and transformed the site into one of the Triad’s most scenic golf courses. The layout presents many challenges, including strategically placed sand traps along the undulating greens. You will also come across a fair amount of water hazards throughout the golf course. Palmer, known for his "go for broke" playing style, incorporated several interesting risk-reward holes and it has become what the course is known for. Good drives will be generously rewarded while an errant shot will make it tough to even get a bogey. Oak Valley Golf Club is a favorite among local golfers.

Good Golf for January
Love this warm weather in Carolina in January. Greens slick but in good shape. Fairways wet but had good areas of base dormant grass. Only complaint was a foursome that refused to let us through even though there were 2 or more holes open for the whole back nine . Yes we were a twosome but these guys plodded so slowly you expected one of them to keel over. 4.5 hour round just too slow.

Course is in excellent shape for this time of year!
A great course
Course is in great shape for late November. The greens are excellent right now and very quick. I play Oak Valley every chance I get as I find it one or the best layouts in the area. I drive 45 minutes to play here and it’s worth it.

This is a great course. I always enjoy playing here. They keep everything in great condition. The tee boxes, fairways, rough, bunkers, and greens are always wonderful. The greens are fast and roll true!
Wide open with good challenges. Play smart or go big for that possible sub score...
Excellent shape!
This is easily the best value one can find in a golf course for the price you pay . Tough par 5s are characteristic of a truly championship layout , Oak valley stands testament to that. Excellent greens, fairways and the overall conditions are superb. Can’t wait to return !
Continues to Impress
Condition of greens , fairways and tees very good. Couple of traps need some sand , but it would help if I stayed out of them. Moved around in well under 4 hours.
Immaculate
The course conditions were phenomenal! The greens were near perfect. Fairways were wonderful. The rough was punishing. You got to keep it in the short grass here.

Must play
This course is a must play!! Only $40 during the week and that is more than a bargain … I drove about an hour to play but it is well worth the drive.. The condition of the course was fabulous and I can’t wait to play here again
