Very slow play
Took 3 hours to play 9 holes Did not play back 9 due to multiple groups of 4 waiting to tee off; could not have completed round before dark
Slow play
Started round at 12:00PM. Very slow pace of play, was only able to complete 9 holes in 3 hours. Made turn only to find multiple groups of 4 waiting to tee off. Could not have completed back nine before dark so decided to end round.
Black mtn. Home if the par 6!
I live playing this course. It’s the best bang for your buck. The green tee grille has some amazing food and the staff there are super friendly. I would say it’s the second most challenging course I’ve played at.
Great Value for your money
Greens were in Above Avg Condition considering late fall season..grounds crews do a great job keeping the leaves manageable around the course.
Ok
We selected the course based on the four star rating. This isn’t a four star course. The views are nice but the course has a ways to go.
If you are in the area and are looking for an inexpensive round, this could be an option.
TEE BOXES WERE IN TERRIBLE SHAPE NOT A LOT OF GRASS AND SOME OF THE GREENS WERE VERY VERY Hairy and very slow to putt
The only reason to drive there and play this course is because they have a par 6 very challenging but other than that there are a lot of other courses in a whole lot better shape
Beautiful course
The view on every hole was breathtaking. Well worth the money. Wish I would’ve play 18.
Black Mountain Blues
A par 6 747 yd hole? How cool is that? The course was in great shape and had some wet areas due to the recent rain but the staff and course were great. We had a 4some walking in front of us and they let us play through so we finished 18 ( even played the par 6 twice) and will return. The greens were recently sanded but still ran OK. We will play this course again when staying near Asheville.
Good value but slow greens
First time playing this course and I enjoyed my round except for very slow and a few bumpy greens. Loved the views and the par 6 hole. I would recommend this course to friends.
Great value
Pace of play was could of been better with Rangers present. Most fairways were groomed well but greens left something to be desired.
