Connestee Falls Golf Course

Traveling to and touring the layout shows off the beauty of its setting. Add in the pretty decent conditions and upkeep of the place, and one would "believe" they would (or could) enjoy the pleasure of having a good round. But that would be a false impression given the "tilt absurdity" of the greens - it's one thing to have to "hit it to the right area" of a putting surface complex, but it's a fool's errand to attempt to find one where it plainly doesn't exist.

I like the place, but the sadistic greens (even though I have given myself two dozen chances to "figure them out") have dashed my interest in ever going back.

I live a little over an hour away from Connestee Falls but I would be more than happy to play there 2 or 3 times a week. It's one of my favorite courses! The staff are very friendly and they don't treat you like an outsider. The course is in excellent condition! The real stars of the show are the deer all over the course. Very beautiful place to play!

Great course. I've played there a few times and my only complaint is the fact that foursomes of older folks, (I'm 62) do not seem to know golf etiquette. Foursomes move EXTREMELY slow and when there is a Walker among them with a twosome on their tails they are oblivious about letting faster players play through. They were so slow we skipped hole #4 to pass them. Holes 1,2 and 3 we waited at the tee while they teed off. 54 minutes to play 3 holes. Management should enforce golf etiquette.

Greens felt very hard, could barely hold the green with approach shots. Extreme mountain elevation changes, slope adjusted rangefinder would help tremendously. Putts rolled true, super small (postcard sized) green complexes. Fairways and tee boxes were in good to great shape! I enjoyed my round.

Nice course. Very straight. Very, very slow pace of play especially for a Monday.

Whenever you get to deer, white squirrels and your buddies making eagles...IT'S A GREAT DAY!

We have played Conestee many times. Apparently closed to members only for some portion of the Pandemic and recently opened back up to public. Tough course but its in great shape!

Great course. Have played it many times. Always beautiful with some breathtaking views. A lot of drainage or irrigation has been installed recently and has left some rough areas. I know this organization has the commitment and resources to completely repair this temporay condition. Recommend to anyone who loves mountain golf.

The course and greens are in excellent shape. The only complaint is the course doesn't drain well. Lots of wet areas. Plenty of deers on the course. The pace of play was good.

Golf now is awful. Send me one more email about reviewing this terrible course. I’ve used golf now a hundred times and the one time I use it for connesstee falls I get an email every two days asking me to review this course. This course sucks

First, this is a semi-private course and I was a guest so don't use the "price" I inserted as an estimate.

The course is a mountain course so lots of elevation changes and wonderful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is about an hour and 15 mins from downtown Greenville but worth the drive. They have a driving range at the end of the parking lot and you can buy a token in the Pro Shop or just use your credit card at the machine. $6.00 small bucket.

The greens are small and many are elevated which makes the holes more challenging. I would have given a 5-star rating but the aprons around the greens were being repaired so they were very sandy and uneven so a lot of approach shots took odd bounces or shots you would normally expect to roll on the greens were killed by the sand.

Overall I really enjoyed the course. The staff was very nice. They have a really nice women's bathroom/locker room. The Pro Shop was nice and they provided complimentary yardage books. You really don't need the yardage book because the carts are new - electric (smooth ride) with map screen/GPS for distance.

We ate after the round - on the balcony (great view of the 18th hole) and the food was excellent.

I hope to be invited to play this course again.
