About
Located near the banks of Swift Creek, Lochmere Golf Club has plenty of water incorporated into the layout, coming into play on nearly every hole. The golf course stretches across a lush, gently rolling landscape sprinkled with mature trees and ponds. The terrain showcases the best in Triangle golf. At just over 6,600 yards it is not particularly long, but it provides plenty of challenges. It is a tight course that will test your accuracy with narrow fairways lined with trees. The small greens that are heavily protected by well placed bunkers demand thoughtful strategy and pinpoint control. The golf course offers a fair challenge but it is still accessible for beginners, especially from the forward tees. Lochmere G.C. is a favorite among Cary locals, both for its enjoyable design and its affordable rates.

Swamp-Mere Exists
In fairness to them, it did rain 24 hours earlier, but you would hope the course could drain that time. Let's just say it didn't and the course was a swamp. I wish I had known earlier, but you live and learn. If it rains within 24 hours, Lochmere is a no go.
Nice short course
Enjoyed playing here with my son. Some interesting holes with bunkers and water in play. Would probably play from the blues next time through.
Excellent Course
Great course to play. Great for beginners through advanced.
Fun Course
Between the cold and the abundance of leaves on the course, what is usually an easy course wasn't so easy.
Pace of play was OK, we had to wait on a few holes. Greens were a bit slow but were in good condition. Price was more than I expected.
Early Morning Round
Beautiful course. It was very wet due to a large amount of rain recently, but played well and is beautiful.
hard to find balls under leaves... the course was not clean due to lots of leaves on ground... it took longer to find balls!!!
1st Time at Lochmere, Cary
I've played Lochmere in NH several times and love that course. They are not related and mention that people often book this course in Cary by mistake, so I happened to be in the area and had to play the NC course.
Very friendly folks. Nice layout with perfect green conditions!
Excellent value for the greens fees. Don't forget to get a grilled dog on the bend ;-)
Poor pace of play
Course was in good shape. Not a very difficult track. For having a starter out there hounding you for your ticket, you would think they would keep people on time for their tee time and keep up pace of play. That is not the case. Except a long round.
Play this course again
Course was in great condition, especially the greens, Pace was slow but the rangers did what they could to speed things up. Great little course that I look forward to playing again.
