Twilight round
Played weekday twilight for under $20 starting at 5:10. Not bad in every category except greens. I’ve been here a half dozen times or so over the years and it’s always the same - fuzzy, bumpy, grainy greens with a mix of different grasses. They run kind of fast but don’t have a true roll. For the price it’s not bad and I’d come back, but just keep in mind you’re not getting greens on par with the other public courses around Clayton/Raleigh (maybe similar to RGA).

Fun Day of golf!
Pace of play was great- Enen though the course was well booked, on, ce we were off the first tee, we never waited more than a minute, and were never pushed by the group behind us. Occasionally they would have teed off and would be in the fairway behind us if it were a Par 5 hole. Other than that, we felt as if we were the only group out on the course.

Firm and fast
This was my fourth time at Riverwood. Still getting used to this course of three nines. Played Deer Run and Riverview nines. They punched the fairways recently and with little recent rain the fairways were quite firm and rollout was long. Greens were in great shape and were fast. Overall a nice enjoyable round and I’ll be playing here regularly for sure.

Decent
The course in general was good. Pace of play was fine, the layout was nice, and the greens were excellent. The grass in the winter is mowed so low that hitting from the fairway was like hitting off a green or hard pan. I would prefer the fairways were left with a little turf. It was actually better to be in the rough where your ball was on dormant grass vs a hard fairway. Tee boxes were awful but since your hitting from a tee not the end of the world. The staff was nice but they seemed under staffed. Carts were not cleaned. We had to take a dirty cart and discard all the stuff from the previous players. I would come back when the grass comes out of dormancy.

Miserable
The staff was disrespectful. There was a 2+ hour frost delay and no notice shared with me because I wasn’t a member. Waste of my time driving there. Waste of my gas money. Only to be talked down too by the kid at the desk. Disgusting experience.
